Years later, Izuku is twenty-two and now close friends with the king.

He has had to hold in his hatred for so long, it increases every day. So, when the kings daughter begins to show interest in him, he can't help but be disgusted.

The king has set up a ball for his daughter, its purpose is to help find a suitor for her.

The ballroom is filled with hundreds of people dancing in fancy dresses or talking with each other, champagne in their hands.

Izuku stands in the corner, hands folded behind his back, bored. He is wearing a black tux with a matching tie, his hair gelled back for the occasion, a strand of hair sticking out in the front.

His freckles are on full display, his eyes shining and boring into passerby's.

His features are sharp, and he's built from all the years of training.

A group of girls, the princess in the middle, are staring at him and giggling.

He narrows his eyes in annoyance and looks away, bored. He was always bored.

Bored when he was awarded for his bravery, bored when people praised and adored him even in the streets, bored.

He was nothing without his other half, and he hadn't heard from him ever since that day. His heart stings at the memory and he steps forward to get a drink.

That is until he is stopped by the princess going in front of him. She curtsies and smiles at him brightly.

"Hello General Midoriya."

He stares at her, uninterested. but puts a tight smile on his face.

"Hello Princess Uraraka."

She is wearing a pink dress that has jewels shining on it. The dress is big and cloud looking, made by the best tailors in the kingdom no doubt.

She stands back up properly and tucks a brown strand of hair behind her ear.

Her already flushed cheeks turn even redder as she continues to speak.

"I was wondering if you would like to have a dance with me sir."

Izuku feels his heart stop. The only person he would ever want to dance with isn't here. Thats what hurts the most.

He rubs the back of his neck in an awkward gesture.

"Um, I'm not really good at dancing princess, could i suggest you dance with the suitors? That is the purpose of the ball after all."

Urarakas face drops in disappointment. Who says no to a princess.

"But i want to dance with you sir. I think you would be an amazing suitor... Your handsome and amazing..."

Izuku steps back, not really knowing what to say or do in this situation.

"I appreciate the compliments princess, but..."

Its silent between the two of them.

"Well, i should get going-"

Uraraka grabs his hand, face completely red.

"P-please just dance with me! Just one!"

Izuku stiffens and withdrawals his hand.

"I-"

Someone's arms wrap around his neck loosely from behind and pulls him toward them.

Izuku looks up at them and red eyes glare at the princess in front of both of them.

"Back off princess, the generals mine."
