We are walking around the city entering some shops, goofing around, drinking smoothies and do every stupid thing bestfriends usually do, and that made me so happy, to feel like someone actually cares about me- something I didn't feel for ages.
We're now in one of the expensive shops acting like a gentleman and a classy lady, which is so clear that it's not true because of our clothes - mostly my clothes, Kian is wearing a white shirt with a black blazer which looks incredible on him.
Kian picked a dress and put it over his body standing in front of a mirror, I laughed so damn hard at the way he looks doing this.
The cashier is looking at as in disgust, but who cares? Life is about enjoying it and not impressing others.
"Would it look good at me?" Kian said trying different positions with the dress over his body.
"Kian stop! My sides are hurting" I laugh even more, Kian gave me a charming smile.
"It's the greatest feeling ever to make people laugh, especially you." I feel the smile widening and the tears about to get out - the tears of joy.
"I really thank you Kian, it's been like FOREVER since I last laughed from all of my heart." I don't know if my smile can get any bigger.
We stood like this for a moment, looking at each other and each one of us is drowning in his thoughts. We didn't have to say anything, our eyes spoke louder and more meaningful than words.
I usually get shy when someone looks me in the eye, but this moment was so comforting.
I'm sure that if people saw us like this - just staring at each other - they would think 'what are these two kids doing? Is it normal for this generation to stand in public and just stare at each other? Kids, no one understand their stupidity.' But no, this moment was more than just staring.
Kian parted his lips and was about to say something
"Excuse me kids, but if you're not going to buy something, then please get out of here. Because you're playing with the valuable items and this is indecent." The cashier's nasty voice spoke to us.
"And the prize of 'the best destroyer of moments' goes to...." Kian paused for a second checking her tag "Mrs. Collins, congratulations." he said and guided me to the shop's door.
Kian's POV:
We stood like this for a moment, looking each other in the eyes without saying a word. We didn't have to, our eyes were showing our feelings in a better way than words can ever explain.
I'm in a complete confusion, I don't really know how I feel about this girl. Franny is a great pleasant attractive beautiful girl who was successful in her life; excellent grades, tons of friends, taking care of herself, always in her best looks; I can stay like this for a whole year, counting all these magnificent qualities in this magnificent girl, I have loved her since she came to this school, since I saw her personality; but I fought her love, I got rid of it because I felt that she won't accept me, she was that popular girl that everybody loves; and I was that nerd dude who didn't understand life - thank god I've changed.
But suddenly, everything changed; her grades dropped, refusing to talk to anyone, some scars were shown by mistake on her wrists, black bags under her eyes and what's killing me the most, the look in her eyes, the look of pain, the look of fear; you can tell that her heart is broken, no, not broken, it was smashed into the smallest pieces you can ever imagine, and she needs someone to fix that.
