A new morning with new hopes and a smile on my face.

I got up and stood in front of the mirror, almost tow months have passed since that day with Kian, my parents' problems are getting worse but Kian is helping and supporting me so much - that made it much easier.

Surprisingly, I woke up half an hour earlier but the energy is filling my body so I decided to make an effort on my outfit for today.

After doing my morning routine, I wore a fresh-coloured mint dress with a brown belt, a brown sandals and added some accessories. I made one of my favourite hairstyles, it's some kind of buns I guess; and wore a thin layer of makeup.

I danced all the way to the kitchen where I saw three of the reasons why my life sucks, but I won't let them ruin my happiness so I ignored my dad's fretful face, angry mom and my surprisingly not drunk brother. I ate my breakfast quickly, washed my hands, brushed my teeth again and got out of the house.

My first two classes passed and I'm buying attention to them; I started to care about them. Kian told me that this is my future and I should work hard to reach what I want, my grades aren't affecting anyone but me and I deserve good ones.

"You look incredible today...I mean like always but today you're just stunning." Kian said while I was putting my book in the locker.

"Thank you." I smirked at Kian "But complements make me uncomfortable." I added and my smile is gone.

"Why?" Kian said with confused look. "Because they make me feel like I'm being lied to." I answered looking at the floor.

"Well, I'm sorry but it wasn't a complement, I was just saying my thoughts out loud." I raised my head smiling at his cute honest reply "Thank you." I said blushing.

"So do you want to join me and my friends in lunch today?" Kian asked.

"Wow! From spending lunch time alone for a year, to joining the super popular group. Huge transformation!" I commented. I actually don't want to go, I mean I would act idiotically with them. It really has been a long time since I last socialised.

"Yeah, it's a huge transformation, but it's a good one; a step forward." Kian said and I knew that I can't say no to this guy "Let's go." I said smiling.

"Hi guys" Kian took a seat next to the round table "Hey!" I smiled the best I can sitting next to Kian.

"Hi Kian, hey pretty lady." A blonde girl greeted us "Heyyy, aren't you......you were hanging out with us a year or so ago, weren't you?" Another girl spoke to me "Yeah, right." I smirked.

"How you doing Jane?" Kian asked the girl who greeted us; I guess he was trying to change the topic before they ask why I stopped being with them, which I'm thankful for him to do.

"I'm fine. Where were you today? I searched for you but didn't find you." She said with worried tone. Kian spent the day with me, I have two classes that I share with him today; he started to set next to me in classes and we're actually spending a lot of time together. "I...what did you want me for?" He asked.

Kian and Jane weren't the only ones who were talking, the whole group (2 girls without counting me and 4 guys counting Kian) were talking and my head ached though I enjoyed it a lot.

Being around people again made me realise that I don't have to waste my life because of what happened, it stole part of my life no doubt, but that doesn't mean that I don't have one anymore.
