The day officially began on my way to school.
It actually started with Monsters Inc earrape as an alarm. Its connected to the dorm's bluetooth system so everyone gets up at the same time. Not even coma induced Yoongi can ignore it. I get smacked around for it by my hyungs. Thinking about it they scold me a lot and sometimes all it takes is for Namjoon to look at me a certain way and I'll stand in a time out corner.
Most of the time its the maknae line miss behaving, though I am highly influenced by ChimChim. He's the brother that tells me something we both know will get us in trouble but still do it. In the end I lose cause I'm the youngest and technically a 'follower'.
"It's my graduation today. No more staying up late doing God awful math problems. Everyone will be there and after it concludes I'm treating my hyungs to dinner." I hold my thumbs up at the camera. I did the same thing when it was orientation and everyone was there too.
Only difference is the security. I did not need security at all but now they surrounded me on the way into the school.
The guys spotted me and started pinching my cheeks and touching my uniform. "He is so cute." Hobi says to Tae as if I'm not here. "Are those for me?"
Taehyung looks down at the purple bouquet of flowers he holds. "Nah they're for your classmate—of course they're for you." I went to grab them but he turned away. "Not yet, fool."
I pouted.
"Hey wait a second," Jiwon reached for my tie to fix it. "It's crooked," she says focusing. The way she quints made me show my teeth in the smallest smile. When a stylist, be it makeup or wardrobe, I never make eye contact because it's awkward while they work. But I never looked away from Jiwon.
In fact I found myself lost in her gray irises.
She patted my shoulders, standing back to scan me from head to toe. "You're officially off duty." I remind her. "I couldn't have let you go in there with a crooked tie." Her fingers brush some hairs out of my face. I hold her arms down and turn her around. "I'm fine. Mom has Eunha today so you're free to go and live your life."
"But this is my life," she argues but still lets me guide her to the staff. "Can I least see—"
"Nope."
"Nope?"
"There's this lovely thing called a break, something you haven't done in a while, try it. Don't let her near Toodles." I tell my bodyguard. Jiwon's jaw dropped as I walked away.
Toodles is now Eunha's nickname after Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is all she watches. Im so sick of the damn Hot Dog dance I sometimes consider suicide. I'm kidding, though it's annoying. Ever since I discovered earrape I never laughed so hard in my life. Eunha loves it too. Especially Mickey Mouse theme song earrape. Eunha smiling is cute enough already but her cackling at the nonsense I watch is greater than life itself.
Any audio with the bass all over the place is hilarious.
During the ceremony occasionally Id glance at my hyungs up at the balcony. Yoongi would snap photos of me while the others giggled. Probably because I still speak little to nothing with students beside me. My row was called to accept our diploma and once I stepped on the stage I heard screeching. Thinking it be Jimin, I glanced over to see my mother and daughter.
Eunha is the one screeching and clapping her hands because everyone is. She's got a habit of copying.
"Congratulations, Jungkook." Everyone's hands patted my head for pictures. Taehyung finally gave me my flowers in the most dramatic way possible. We posed for a thousand pictures together with my diploma and without. "Smile, pleasee." I bounced Eunha but she's got a solid TaeTae face.
Blank facial expression watching the staff snap their fingers and wave her toys around to see if a smile pulls trough. "When I need you to smile you don't bother." I sighed giving up.
With Eunha taken care of, Namjoon wrapped his arm around me. "So you're treating us today?"
"Jajangmyeon sound good?"
"Most definitely," Jin follows next to me toward the van.
We clinked our Kin drinks at the dinner table. I want alcohol though. I could never drink with the guys on trips because I was too young. But today they have made it their mission to give me my first alcoholic drink as if I'm a pledge. This is a Run BTS episode though so ARMY will potentially witness me drunk.
The guys banged their hands on the table as Namjoon ceremoniously put a Soju bottle beside the Kin. "Jungkook is officially an adult. The Kin spirits will now be replaced with Soju."
"You may drink." Jimin says.
I smell the alcohol first before bringing it to my lips. There is typically an astringency to the flavor, so I noticed a bitterness underneath the soju's subtle sweetness. I smacked my lips together, scrunching my face.
Yoongi and Jin started laughing at my reaction to it. "Sort of like vodka, Kookie."
"Its good." I take another drink of it, practically inhaling it. "I want another," I told the waiter. Though I took each member's order for fun. Once it arrived we ate like pigs. I packed my mouth full of noodles leaving a one hanging on my chin.
Taehyung is recording me so I slurp the noodle with a nasty sound. "You may be grown but still our baby Kookie."
"Can I have scallops?" Hobi asked. Jin and Yoongi also ordered extra pork. My credit card is already suffering.
Way after the camera paused, I lost track on how much alcohol I had. I definitely have a warm fuzzy feeling in my cheeks. The things I found amusing as a child I started to amuse me again. Such as Yoongi making horrible ugly faces to make me cackle. He's a bit gone too so the energy we have is mutual.
"Taehyung!" He suddenly calls out when Tae is right beside him looking so confused. "Oh there you are."
I laughed at him rightfully earning his laughter back. Namjoon is now whispering to the staff. I think I'm trouble. No, he's smiling. What if thats his 'wait til we get home' look.
"M.I.C.K.E.Y! M.O.U.S.E!" I spelled exactly like the song goes, once more cackling at myself followed by Hobi's joker laughter.
I consciously reached out for Namjoom, "water."
He passed me the jug and so I drink it in one go. I need to sober up. I'm making a fool of myself. Jungkook you're no longer a kid. But the water just made me nauseous. The video has to start again when I had to pay for the meal. I tried my best to look sober and smiled my cheeky baby smile at the camera.
When I entered high school three years ago we ate here and I paid, but I didn't, I used my father's card. Lol. It feels like I entered high school a few days ago. Time flies too fast and I have to act like an adult and be responsible.
"Im going to regret this. You guys ate so much."
I open my wallet and give the lady my card after kissing it. The guys all crowded me waiting to hear the bill of the entire meal.
910,000 won
I pretended to shed a tear. That slayed a little but not too bad.
I see double when the lights of our dorm came on. "Oh Toodles!"
"She's not here, remember."
"Just needed to let it out." I smiled my way to my bed not even bothering to strip off my uniform that I shall never wear again. "No no no Jungkook, change." Taehyung tugged on my back. I click my tongue tasting that Soju lingering on my tongue.
"I'll wash my mouth before bed. K?"
