No one told me that being born as a second prince was my fault.

But their gazes never held much respect toward me either.

I think that mostly had something to do with my dragon never hatching. The egg didn't hatch...it just didn't. And it's not like I wanted to be dragonless, not when I'm a Targaryen. But that didn't have anything to do with what I wanted.

I didn't like the pity in their eyes, like when they told me I'd find a dragon soon.

We have a surprise for you, my brother chimed. Something very special, Lucerys followed and ran inside the pit.

We found a dragon for you, Aegon said. I never hoped for any good from him, however, I also didn't expect him to bully me, that too with those bastards. I hated them...and right now, I hated Aegon as well.

Pink dread, they called it. A pig with makeshift wings, they presented me as my new dragon.

Rage and disgust filled my body as my ears turned red from the insult.

Blinded by the anger of my humiliation, I moved toward the entrance of the pit. The darkness enveloped me as I further went down. Fear took over me as my sight failed to serve me.

A rumble echoed as Dreamfyre evolved from the darkness scaring the hell out of me. A light came out of its mouth when opened. Comprehending its action, I defensively moved back. Dreamfyre released a loud and hot surge of fire to the roof, knocking me off my feet. I immediately crawled back and up on my feet to sprint out of the pit.

At present, I am being taken to my mother by a knight. As he took me inside the chamber, I saw her sitting with Helaena.

Your grace, he called.

Aemond, she said and moved towards me. What have you done? She asked.

He did it again, Helaena answered.

They've warned me, she will confine me to my chamber, my obsession with dragons goes beyond understanding. She snapped at me without listening to my words.

"They gave me a pig," I cried. Acknowledging her confusion, I further explained to her about my pain. They said they found a dragon for me, I told her.

"The last ring has no legs at all," Helaena's voice touched our ears but we ignored her survey of the millipede.

My mother held my forearms and said, you will have a dragon one day.

"He'll have to close an eye," Helaena stated. I was so occupied with my grief that I didn't pay attention to her words.

"They all laughed," I sobbed as my mother embraced me to comfort me.
