When 16 year old Annie Wrod woke up finding herself in a moving Box, and not in her cozy bed where she fell asleep, she knew that something was wrong.
'"And your Gally," I said to eyebrow boy.
"Um, yeah," he said, looking at me suspiciously. God, I...
"Okay Annie, truth or dare?" My older sister Lindsey asked me.
"Last time I did dare so I'll choose truth."
"Hmmm.." Lindsey thought for a moment, "if you could find yourself in any fictional movie, what would it be?"
"Probably the Maze Runner,"
I had grown up reading fantasy books including Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, and The Selection series. Most of the series I read was Dystopian, except Harry Potter, and my most recent series that I read was The Maze Runner and I was hooked by the characters and by the storyline.
"Of course, you would say The Maze Runner," Lindsey's voice brought me back from my thoughts.
"Why would you say that?"
"Because literally everything we talk about you somehow bring up The Maze Runner or Minho into the conversation, and because you would want to meet Minho in real life so you can fall in love with him and date him."
I felt my cheeks getting red. It was true though I had an obsession with Minho, I mean who wouldn't? He was hot, smart, a leader of the Glade, oh did I mention hot?
"Yeah yeah," Lindsey said, "Stop daydreaming about him and get to bed it's late,"
"You can't boss me around," I told her but got off of her bed anyway.
"Why not, I'm older than you," she said teasing me.
"Only by two years," I replied,
"Yeah and that will do it to make me the one in charge here," Well she was right and it was getting late. I climbed up the ladder to the top bunk which was my bed. With three kids in one room we needed bunk beds. Me and Lindsey on one bunk and then Mark on another bunk. We had a baby brother too but he slept in his crib in our parent's room. We were waiting till Jack was old enough to sleep in a big boy bed, a bunk bed.
I slipped into my bed and pulled the covers over my body, the sheets hugging me as I laid. I held onto my small pink blanket and pictured myself meeting Minho in the maze an having him fall for me. I closed my eyes and let myself get drowned in my thoughts and wishes as I dozed off and succumb to slumber.

A/N Alright prologue is done. i was originally going to just drop you off in the storyline but decided to make this part to give you a little background information because it will be useful in later chapters.
