Author's Note:

Hello Readers!

Please be aware that there is a slight altercation between Pam and Penny in this chapter. I do not think that it requires a 'skip past this section' warning, as it is not nearly as severe as previous chapters. I still wanted to make mention of it, just to be on the safe side.

I also wanted to make mention of a key factor about the timeline of this story. Redditor u/julesyxx uploaded an expanded calendar that converts the four Stardew Seasons into a normal calendar. I will upload a photo so that you can see what I'm referring to, and why specific birthdays/festivals will fall on specific days.

Sorry that I forgot to mention that sooner!

TW - Brief Verbal Abuse

You can't help but wonder what Sebastian's problem is.

He's been quiet since Abigail interrupted your walk home. Ever since arriving back at the house, he's looked troubled about something. A faint layer of sweat lays across his forehead, and his eyes appear almost panicked. He hasn't engaged much in conversation with Sam, Abigail, and Penny unless he is specifically spoken to. He offered you a small smile earlier, but you didn't believe for a second that he felt happy or content at the moment.

Is he worried about something? Or was Sam right? Maybe he's just too shy to use my bathroom. Maybe he planned to use the bathroom at the saloon if Maru wasn't picking up the food? Is he feeling unwell? Should I offer him some ibuprofen, or antacids, or something?

You pull out your phone and send him a text.

You:

Are you feeling alright? Do you need something that would make you feel more comfortable here?

TheBastian 🐸🖤:

Thanks, I'm okay.

You:

Your social battery low?

TheBastian 🐸🖤:

Yeah, you could say that.

He glances up at you from across the small living room. You offer him a small nod of understanding, but you still feel like there's something else going on. You decide that he will talk about it when he is ready to talk about it, his business is his own.

"(Y/N)," Penny begins during a lull in other conversations, "I hope you don't mind, but Sam and I did some grocery shopping while you were gone. I figured if I am going to stay here, I should do my part and buy some groceries for us to share."
