2nd Person PoV
"(Y/N) WAKE UP! THERES SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TOILET!" You rose to the sound of yelling and stomping, before Steve appeared at the foot of the bed. Despite the impending disaster, you were exhausted. It could wait.
"ITS GONNA OVERFLOW GET UP!" The boy grabbed onto your arm and proceeded to pull you off the side of the bed.
"Fuck. Fine, fine, I'm going." You swung your leg over, standing up. Steve quickly escorted you towards the issue. The bathroom door was wide open, but revealed nothing as to what was happening. He placed you in front of the toilet, and you watched the water swirl, inching closer to the top.
"Oh, I must've forgotten to tell you. You just gotta flip the handle into place after flushing." You reached out and did just that. Steve stood in bewilderment as you displayed the easy fix.
"I thought my poop broke the toilet. Thank god." You laughed and walked out of the bathroom, ready to return to bed. In the hallway, the gang was congregated out of curiosity. Steve's yelling must've woken the whole house.
"What happened?" Johnny asked.
"Nothing. Just Steve, bein' Steve." You replied, smiling at the stupidity of the situation. As you reached for the door knob of your parent's room, Sodapop opened it before you got the chance.
"Good morning. Where do you think you're going?" He asked joyfully. Your face twisted. No chance he was gonna let you sleep huh?
"If you'll excuse me, I'm going back to bed." You attempted to scooch past, instantly being blocked by Soda's unclothed torso.
"Nuh uh, it's breakfast time bitches." Two-bit and Steve started howling as Soda finished speaking. The loud noises woke you up for good, might as well give in. You groaned, leading the already rowdy boys downstairs per Soda's request.
Light poured into the kitchen through the big window above the sink. It hurt your eyes to the point where they couldn't open, so you took a seat on the counter.
"I refuse to cook breakfast. Someone else do it please." You looked to the group, but half of them were already slummed on the couch, trying to find a channel with the morning cartoons.
"I'll do it (Y/n). Dally's gonna help me. Ain't that right Dal?" Soda said as he cocked his head. Dally was about to walk out when he had a sudden change of heart.
"Ya know what man, fuck it. What're we makin'?" He smiled to Soda and stood by him as they started planning out their meal. You decided you didn't want to be in their way, and trudged to the livingroom. The only open spot on the couch was between Two-Bit and Ponyboy, and your back definitely wasn't in good enough shape for the floor. You sighed and reluctantly opted for the couch.
"Hey guys, find anything good?" You asked, looking to Two-Bit.
"Do you know if any of these channels have the Mickey cartoons? All I can find is Road-Runner." He handed you the remote as he spoke.
"Hmm, I think there may be one. Hold on." You searched your mind, trying to remember what channel it was. Your father always put it on for you, so you never really memorized it. After a couple minutes, a familiar animated mouse flashed across the screen.
"Nice goin' (Y/n)." Two-Bit said. You sat back and sunk into your seat. The smell coming from the kitchen was heavenly. You already knew breakfast was gonna be amazing, but for now, you were gonna watch cartoons with your boys. Every now and then, you'd notice Ponyboy give you a sheepish glance. He had no idea where you stood. It was his first time navigating a situation like this. Him and Darry would fight, walk away from eachother, and then pretend it never happened, but he couldn't do that with you. He knew it wouldn't work; you weren't bound to him like Darry was. Your feelings were deeper, this was more than a little bickering. He left you stranded and karma had it's way with him, hurting someone he truly cared about. He needed to find a way to win you over, the other battle could be fought at a later time.
