005 - CHESHIRE CAT

With about 30 minutes left on the clock, Aya and the rest of the players joined up and conducted a plan.

With everyone else waiting by the school door, Aya, Takeo and 'hoodie boy' (Aya made it up as an easier way to communicate with the guy with the cat-like features) paired up as a team to track down the necessary items for the escape plan.

The eerie atmosphere accompanied by the lack of light sent goosebumps down every inch of Aya's body. It didn't help that the whole time leaving the classroom and walking down the first few flights of stairs the trio were complete silent. And with the creakiness of the stairs - that also didn't help.

She let out a tired sigh before turning her head towards 'hoodie boy'. "Thank you, by the way," She began, watching him turn his head from the front and onto her, "you helped me figure a plan out. I think this plan will help us win the game. To that I owe you." She looked down at the creaky stairs, smiling softly.

"Don't paint me in such a nice light. I'm way much more darker than you think." He dead panned, earning a quiet chuckle from Aya.

She turned to him, "Well, that was quite edgy." She snorted, trying to hide her laugh, but it seemed he noticed it.

Her face immediately dropped when he turned back to her, his face as dead as a corpse.

"Kidding." She smiled before the two turned back to the front, continuing to walk down the million flight of stairs to the cleaning room.

It seemed her mood dropped, her smile disappearing instantly as she felt a sudden arm around her shoulder.

"What are you two talkin' about?" Takeo asked, and Aya had to fight the urge to let out an annoyed sigh.

'Hoodie boy' turned his head back around, noticing the uncomfortable look on Aya's face that she was trying so hard to cover. He turned his head back around before saying, "It's rude to touch someone without consent, you know?"

Hearing this, Aya whipped her head around to him, the corners of her lips twitching into a smile. It seemed beneath such a cold, aloof exterior hid a more...nicer side to this mysterious man.

The two then heard another scoff from Takeo as his arm fell from Aya's shoulders, walking off, making Aya show her big, bright smile of relief.

Once it seemed Takeo was far enough that he wouldn't hear the two, Aya turned to face the guy who saved her from that uncomfortable situation. "Thanks." She let out a smile.

He didn't answer and only instead looked down at the stairs.

It seemed like the perfect time to get to know the guy more. No one was around to hear them, and he just saved Aya from Takeo and his uncomfortable presence.
