008 - DEMOLITION

A/N: I was having a lot of trouble writing this chapter. A lot of the time I was forcing myself to write because I felt so ashamed that my book was on hold for so long. My writing is absolute trash, like, Niragi level of trash so please be aware that my writing isn't great in this chapter. Okay, love ya all!!

Aya was sat by herself humming her favourite song as she awaited for her partner's arrival. She had no worry that he would be coming back to the abandoned mall as she knew he was capable on his own. To pass the time, she decided to dig more into whatever the "Beach" was, hoping it would surprise Chishiya when he came back.

Her head perked up once hearing the doors to the mall open, indicating that he was back from whatever game he played. She wasted no time and jumped out of her seat and rushed to the railings that kept her from falling off the second floor. She beamed once seeing the all-too-familiar white jacket and his hands in his pockets as he walked towards the escalators.

From the way he was walking, that Aya was observing, she instantly picked up he was absolutely tired as if he had just arrived from a spades game. A quiet snicker escaped her lips once she vividly remembered the fact that his greatest weakness was definitely the spade games no matter what level it would be.

Her head turned to the escalators as she continued to follow his footsteps, and once he stepped foot on the second floor, she immediately gained his attention by saying, "You're back!" in an enthusiastic way.

Hearing her cheery voice he slowly grew accustomed to, he slowly turned his head to his left, and Aya had to force her laughter down once seeing his tired face.

"Spades game again?" She asked with a smile as she began walking past him, heading over to the water cooler for a bottled water.

Following behind her, Chishiya soon stopped as she whipped around, handing him a cold water bottle. Once taking it out of her hands, she began walking over to the dining table where everything was placed, allowing Chishiya to follow along.

"While you were out, I decided to dig more into what the "Beach" could be." She explained as she walked over to the messy table with Chishiya following behind her.

Chishiya's eyes darted across the table, astonished by the amount of work she did. "All of this?" He asked as he tightened the cap on the water bottle.

Aya nodded enthusiastically with a hum. She whipped around and continued, "I also went out to see if I could find anything else about it, but I sadly couldn't find anything." She admitted with a pout.

Chishiya felt the urge to widen his eyes, but he resisted and just walked around her and continued to eye the cluttered table. "When the games were still going on?" He questioned while keeping his eyes on the massive map that they got a few days ago.
