006 - MUSICAL CHAIRS

What Aya didn't know when she uncontrollably shook Chishiya's hand was that she would've been forced to team up with him. She wasn't offended, but she remained cautious, paying close attention to the feeling roaming around in her stomach. Despite only being in the dangerous world that seemed identical to Tokyo with the new addition of having to worry if you're going to live the next day, she knew that people would easily kill you if they had to. Chishiya was one player who gave her that unwanted feeling that he'd be willing to sacrifice her if he had the chance. She wouldn't be able to lower her guard with him.

After all, the ones who can betray us, are the ones who we trust.

The two were currently roaming around a shopping centre, the same one they used to sleep in. After finding out Chishiya basically lived on the streets the entire time being here, Aya thought she could treat him to a little more comfier life, although nothing could be as comfy as the life Aya used to have.

Chishiya watched from a distance while Aya went into different shops, picking out things for him. She quickly noticed he was very unprepared despite his intelligent appearance.

After changing her clothes to what seemed a lot more sporty - a dark grey hoodie with some black leggings - she went into a store filled with weaponry. She wasn't about to question the random store filled with survival tools and just simply thanked the gods that she finally found the one store she was looking for.

While searching the store for suitable weapons, faint footsteps came towards her. Knowing who it was, she didn't bother turning her head over her shoulder to see who it was. Instead, she blurted out a random question, "How many days do you have left on your Visa? I have 9, by the way." She threw a switch knife in the air, catching it shortly after watching it spin around in the air.

She turned around, noticing the dead expression on Chishiya's face. She pointed the knife in his direction, "Not that you seem to care or anything."

She began searching for more weapons that may be useful in the future while waiting for an answer. Of course, just as she predicted, she didn't get the answer she was secretly hoping for.

"Why do you ask?" Chishiya's husky voice filled the room, and although his voice was pleasing to listen to, Aya couldn't help but get annoyed by his cocky attitude.

Nevertheless, she remained calm on the outside, although Chishiya could tell she was getting irritated. "I wouldn't want you to only have about a day left on your Visa while we're searching for whatever you want to find. Wouldn't want to see you get shot by a laser." She answered while stashing a pocket knife in between her trainers.

Chishiya continued to remain a stoic expression on his face, although he was secretly surprised by the sudden confession by the random woman he decided to team up with.
