Lelei La Lalena, most passing people, would only consider her as a calm, silent girl, usually burying her face in her books, carrying her strange staff, wearing her simple clothes. Who is not aware how a mage looks, may simply mix her with a simple village girl, or even an apprentice scholar in her strange robes.

Aside from her strange colored hair, her appearance was pretty every day: blue eyes, teal, almost silver colored hair, and a well-formed, but plain face. Even as a mage, she doesn't look like much — for outside of course — her calm, and silent attitude always deceived her challengers.

Her challengers who learned the hard way, not to assume power from the outside look and silent attitude. Yes, she dealt with challenges before, mostly with her sister. Still, there were not many times she had actually lost. Fewer times, she had judged people wrong or caught off guard. Yet, even despite all her preparations, all the things she had seen until now, she gaped, looking around in the grand hall they passed.

"And this is the grand hall of initiation. Usually, grand events like the graduation and feasts take place here..."

Bored, the robed figure leading the envoys of Rondel announced, showing them around in this magnificent place.

"Wha... Master, did you see that?" just now, one of the younger attachés of one of the Sages pointed towards the ceiling, seeing only endless skies, moving clouds... and literal flying whales pass through the divide. On the others side of the hall, a hole in the space opening, letting the flying creatures pass through.

"How in the name of La and Elange I can't see that? Stupid boy! My sight is bad, but not "that" bad! I am not blind, stupid kid!"

Argued the master Sage angry, and the not long ago graduated apprentice gulped, backing away slightly from the furious master.

"Ye-Yes... sorry!"

Indeed, the sight around was not a thing these newcomers could ever see under their life. No matter where they go in their world, no matter they lived most of their lives in the magical city of Rondel, the wonders the Sorcerous Kingdom — more exactly the Magical Academy of Carne — often offered surprises even veterans of this nation — stepping first amidst its walls — blow away.

The scene the newcomers and their guide just passed through called the "Hall of Initiation." One of the most, if not the most important place in the whole school.

Taking place in the greatest hall of the Leycastle, it was expansive, able to house more than a thousand students of different races and still have some room a few more. The ground made from pure marble, white and black slabs changing each other, almost like a chessboard, time to time a perfectly cut shell shape, mimicking the golden ratio popped up amidst the slabs.

Usually, this place where people gathered, either for an important occasion, or to simply meet each other, learn, or even... house great feasts, balls! But most of all, this was the hall where Fluder Paradyne invited the mages of the Sorcerous Kingdom, calling together every other people who made a great contribution to the magical community, reached a milestone in the depths of arcane.

Yes, every magic caster, which is a little bit dedicated to the art of magic wanted the invitation for this private gathering of great minds.

Not only it was hosted by one of the greatest magic casters of the Sorcerer Kingdom — Fluder Paradyne — but often even the Sorcerer King — or in his absence — the other Supreme Being or a guardian showed up, listening what kind of magical advancement their people made under a year, praising them, and offering support for further development if they like the idea.

Such gatherings usually always took at least a few days, under that the gathered magic casters and scholars not only discussed their theories but presented their results — often ending up something damaged. But that's what these gatherings were good for — Present your ideas and discuss them with your colleagues. If it's wrong, come up with something that will fix it, or even improve the said thing.
