Slowly, in the early hours of the morning, the convoy started its long journey, heading towards the palace right away. Though, most people were fresh after a long night of sleep, rejuvenated both in spirit and body — thanks to the otherworldly comfort of the enchanted beds. Some still looked quite haphazard, like they had not slept at all this night.

"..."

"Hmm, you look quite ragged, Giselle, did you slept at all?"

In front of her, the blue-skinned woman only spared a berating glance, looking through the holes her slender fingers allowed.

"You better shut yer mouth! Granham!" the draconian demigoddess just glared at her college, giving her a really spiteful expression. "If not your constant snoring I should have slept a few minutes! A FEW MINUTES! THAT'S ALL I ASKED!" she threw a pillow at the woman before her, but even with her impressive power it worth notch.

"Pff! As it was my fault..." she looked away, pouting, murmuring something like: 'You speak nonsense, I never snore...' but after this momentary mumble, she returned her track right away. "Rather saying. It was your fault..." she snickered for a moment, before clicking her tongue strictly, the action immediately earned an even intense glare from the other side.

"Haven't I said?! We are here to negotiate, to give our invitation to the gods of this side!" she head-butted the woman before her, and the carriage bumped on the road.

"And what did you do in the first given a chance — insulting the Prime Minister of this nation! Worse! The wife of one of the gods, who's herself most likely a goddess as well! Have you gone mad!?"

"Tch! You already shouted to me yesterday. I don't need pampering!" Giselle looked away with a furrowed brow, the rapture the headbutt caused slowly healing in her forehead.

The deep dark circles under her eyes made it evident she lacked the proper sleep from last night.

"I say it because it is crucially important! I scold you because Rory willing not, because no one else is here, and willing, I am the only able person who can! If you do this, not only you lose the chance to pass your message, but I as well! Do you want our demigod status to be revoked? Because that's the least, we will get if we fail, and return alive! Said, "return"!"

Turning her head away, Giselle was aware of this, but what should she say? She really regretted what she had done, ever since she can't sleep a moment.

"I am not sure even our demigod status can protect, or even warrant our survival against the monsters and vengeful gods this place holds! And surely, our god's reach not spread here! They can't help us if we get in trouble."

"What do you mean?" Surprised, Giselle asked. The woman before her spouted nonsense. There was no way the reach of their deities can't reach here. Or, is it?

"I prayed for a few hours last night, and I heard many different voices, but none which can be connected to our lords! You heard me?! None of our gods I reached!" she hit her tight, on her face a concerned expression. "Not Flare-sama! Not any gods from the pantheon! There were only extraneous noises!"

"Noises?" Giselle raised her brow, watching Granham strange.

"Yeah, there was one strange one, or rather two... holding similar domain like Rory's god, but also contained a lot of elements from Flare-sama's might. Their power might even surpass Flare-sama's own, a lot..."

"And... what did these gods say to you?"

"Nothing interesting, they just sent me on my way..." turning away, Granham pulled her legs in her grasp, her full face red.
