I feel like I accidentally made this angst at the start and if I did, whoops and I'm sorry.

My boyfriend of six years, fiancé of one year, was on live television yet again, though I was watching it live. He was a finalist in the snowboarding competition and I made sure to be watching and cheering him on the whole time.

Along with me, a Cetoddle had joined and cheered him on. It surprised me but I just laughed and went along with it. We both cheered him on and I gave it some water when it's voice seemed to get a bit hoarse from cheering.

However, during Grusha's signature move, a backflip cork, an Abomasnow had bypassed security and walked on the course. We were all surprised and, while Grusha landed the move, he had to quickly move to avoid hurting the Abomasnow and ended up splitting his board in half, a portion of it seeming lodged in his leg, while the other one appeared broken.

I was surprised and screamed out. As I did, since I heard the announcers say the competition would be ended now and given a later date to continue, I jumped from my spot and ran to him. The Cetoddle followed in a panic.

"Grusha!" I was terrified and ran to him. Paramedics were on their way down, safely riding on Arcanine, Psychic type Pokémon with them.

He was wincing and held his leg. His pained expression was barely noticeable from behind his scarf and I took his free hand and mumbled.

"Are you going to be okay? That didn't look good... Ah... you'll be fine, I'm being ridiculous." He stared at me and didn't move but wiped the tears forming in my eyes.

"I'll be fine (N/n). I'll make sure I am." I was scared but nodded. The Abomasnow was confused and approached. Cetoddle defended us and spoke calmly. Abomasnow listened to it and nodded. It picked Grusha up, and I was surprised.

"Hey! What are you going to do? Please don't hurt him more. Grusha didn't mean any pain that might've come to you." It shook its head and, when the paramedics got here, it gave Grusha to them. They were surprised, since it just left with Cetoddle. I followed them until one of the paramedics let me get on an extra Arcanine.

I was brought next to Grusha and he was staring down, blanking out.

After a week, he was out of the hospital. I had made sure to take care of him since he was luckily less injured than I thought. His board had barely stabbed into his leg, barely even cutting the skin, but it still hurt him painfully.

His appeared broken leg had only been dislodged, though he needed walking practice. He took my hands when I walked with him. His crutches helped him walk again, and I also helped when we weren't going a for a long walk.

However, the one thing that had broken his heart especially, was that he was prohibited from snowboarding. I knew he loved it too, so while I couldn't do anything for his career, I had been crying for him and hugged him tightly, in the hospital bed at the time.

Since we were at home after he could walk again, he spoke.

"(Y/n)." I looked at him while we sat on the couch. He outstretched his hands and mumbled.

"Come here please..." I was confused and walked to him, sitting next to him.

"Grusha?" He hugged me and mumbled.

"I need love." He hugged me and I stared before smiling. I hugged him and kissed him gently. He smiled a bit and kissed back.

"Love." When we backed up, he mumbled again. I looked at him and he spoke.

"Can we go outside?" I was confused and he spoke. "I need to be in the snow with my love." I blushed and thought.

"Are you sure?" He just nodded and I nodded too. I got his crutches but still picked him up and carried him outside, both of us in warm jackets.

We went outside as it started to snow. He let go of a crutch, standing in the piled snow, and reached up. He stared before smiling.

"The snow is still beautiful." "Just like when you proposed." I smiled as I remembered the day, staring at the ring.

After a big competition that he won, he proposed to me, promising to both put me before any competition and give me a life of love that I'd never regret. Even without the promises, I was crying and agreed, the snow starting to fall, and us making a snowman each, putting them next to each other.

Grusha stared before taking my hand. I looked and he smiled.

"I think I need to renew my promise." I was confused and he was careful. He got on the ground and made a small snowman. He looked at me and signaled to it, beckoning his head slightly. I stared before smiling, putting a small snowman with his.

"There we go." I needed on him and he nodded. He held my waist and spoke.

"I'm sorry I can't continue being a snowboarder." "Grusha, I'm just worried about you. I want you happy and safe..." He nodded and kissed me gently. We sat here and he smiled.

When he was healed fully after a month, he got an offer to be a gym leader and trained well. The Cetoddle that cheered him on became his ace, now a Cetitan, with Abomasnow deciding to join my side and helped take care of the house and him and his team. While I didn't like that he was often gone for work, I understood and just tried to balance our personal life and his work life.

I would have a job too, but he wants to feel as if he's providing for me, so I just agreed, since he doesn't hold anything above me.

Each time he saw me, unless it was the middle of a battle, he would come to me and pepper my face in kisses. The action made me blush, but I was happy, since I knew it meant he loved me.

Currently, I was waiting at home and thinking of what to do before Grusha came home. He was as quiet as possible, and if it wasn't for the fireplace's crackling being louder than his footsteps and my own thoughts blocking out all noise, I would've immediately turned and greeted him with a long kiss.

However, right now he hugged me and spoke.

"Seeing my lover safe and sound after a long day is nice." I was surprised and looked up at him. He sat next to me and I cuddled with him.

"We need to marry soon, don't we?" He nodded and smiled, taking his scarf off. Abomasnow had controlled his body temperature and given us both hot chocolate. I smiled and got a nearby weighted blanket, putting it on us and staring into the fireplace.

"I could rest here forever." He nodded, slipping his left arm around my waist and leaning his head on mine.

"Let's stay like this for a while." I just nodded before sipping my hot chocolate, adding all the marshmallows I needed soon.

When we were both finished with our drinks, we put them on the nearby mini-table before cuddling further, deciding to watch a movie. It was specifically a bad romance movie, both of us knowing full well and watching anyways, laughing at cheesy lines that'd never work.

"Hey there, Applin of my eye. How about we Play Rough later tonight~" I teased him, following a line, and he simply spoke, blushing but calm as he stared at me.
"Sorry, Snowfall, but I must Protect from your bad moves." I pretended to be offended before laughing and kissing him.

He was happy to kiss back and barely laughed while flicking my forehead gently. "Don't copy it again."

"No promises." Was my only response before we continued watching. We used the lines on each other, kissing each other as punishment for saying them before just moving to the next.

We were content and ended up just falling asleep here when neither of us wanted to move, comfortable in each other's arms and warn in front of the fire.
