Adrianna
It's been two day since that night.
There were no board meetings this week–the one week we don't have any apparently–I've changed the places where I get my coffee and get them with Margret.
I don't leave my office as usual, I don't do anything different than usual. I just...don't see Mr. Archer as...usual.
We've–I've–been avoiding us, barely seeing each other in the building. Though it used to be like this long before we met each other in that elevator that night.
It suddenly came to me that he slowly became a part of my life and I didn't take the time to realize it. Wondering if I also became a part of his life after we met in that elevator, that movie theater, and that bar.
It's just a normal Wednesday.
"Ms. Clarke!" Margret suddenly slides her body against my door, opening it with her body and slumping her body over to her chair. "You ready?"
"Yes." I take my hair out of the pony tail, getting ready for our department meeting. "How's your sister's baby?"
"It's a boy." Margret's face beams with joy as she thinks of her nephew.
"What's his name?"
She stops spinning in her chair and stops to look at me. "Peter."
I smirk over at her as she sends one back.
But I immediately drop it.
"What's with your grumpy-face?" she frowns at me as she follows me out of my office.
I stop and feel Deja vu. Shivers all of a sudden.
"What's with your lipstick-all-over-my-lips face?"
I peek a glance at her and see her frantically looking at herself in the glass window and seeing her reflection of her red lipstick smudged all over her face. "Don't tell me," I watch her rub her lipstick off her face. "Did you make out with someone in our build-"
"No! N-No, I didn't." she quickly denies.
I lean against the wall and wait for her to be finished. She re-applies her red lipstick and turns to me. "Now? How does it look? Better?" She questions, adjusting herself.
"You look beautiful."
We get ourself together and continue our way down the hall but once we face down the hall I instantly spot a tall man with his hair slicked back with no strand fallen out of place with his hands neatly inside his pockets as he also stops in his track.
Then I look to the man beside that tall man and see a man who is a little shorter with a lipstick stain on the collar of his shirt and a little red tint on his lips.
"So you did make out with someone in our building," I whisper over to Margret who is also frozen in place. "Especially with the secretary. Never expected Kyle and you would be a thing-"
"Shut up, please." Margret smiles as she mutters quietly within her clenched teeth. "Now explain why Mr. Archer and his...secretary and us stopped at the ends of the hallway when our meeting room is right there." she whispers over to me.
"Was Mr. Archer supposed to be attending this meeting?" I ask clearly.
"Yes. But he will only be listening in and asking question if needed. Why?" she finally looks down at me with her whole body. "Will that be a probl-"
"No. Let's go ahead and go in." Both ends start walking. "There won't be a problem."
With impeccable timing, we both reach the meeting room door as I come face to face with Mr. Archer. "Would you like to go in first-"
