Adrianna
I barely ate for lunch with only just a coffee with a cookie. I don't think I'm going to eat a lot at dinner.
Margret stops by my office as she leaves work.
Soon the entire floor was empty with me again. With the only light on, on this floor.
I look at my watch and see 7:36 PM. It takes about 30 minutes to get there so I should probably get off right now.
I take my ponytail out of my hair and get my things gathered and close my report file that's ready for tomorrow and turn off my computer.
I lock my office and I leave.
I get to the parking lot as I walk towards my car and see Elliot talking with this woman. My feet slow down on their own.
The girl laughs as she turns her head to the side and I realize who it was. Keegan Smith. I glance over at Elliot and see him listening to whatever she's saying.
Where's Kyle? Shouldn't he be taking Elliot home?
I stop beside my car. What am I thinking?
I get in my car and toss my bags in the back. I grip tight to the steering wheel as I keep glancing over at them.
I should probably stop looking over at them. But I don't and just watch her stupid mouth open as she laughs.
But Elliot doesn't laugh along with her.
I throw my hair back into a ponytail once I feel hot and sweaty. I turn on my car as I leave the parking garage.

I get to the restaurant a bit earlier than I had anticipated but I get to the table and tell the waiter I'm with someone. I felt drowsy than normal, maybe I should've gone home earlier.
I look at the text from earlier and see that I was left on delivered and he still hasn't read it. Maybe he's finishing up late tonight.
After 20 minutes passed from our original time reservation, he arrived. Late.
"Hi, bab-"
"You haven't ordered yet, right?" He cuts me off, taking the napkin and putting it on his lap.
"No, I haven't ordered yet. Was there traffic on the way here? You got here pretty late and—"
Jere calls for the waiter. "Could we get two original plates of pasta?"
Two? I don't want pasta. He knows that I'll get sick-
Oh, I see.
He doesn't remember.
"Will that be all?" The waiter happily smiles.
"Yes, that will be all." Jere immediately picks up his phone.
Jere stays on his phone the whole time, noticing an ear piece in one of his ears. Is he still doing work? I take a glance of his phone and my heart shatters.
He's watching football.
We don't talk the entire time and it's just us sitting at one table across from each other. While other guests talk with each other across from each other.
But I couldn't take it anymore after trying to come up with words of how we could work. "Hey, Jere, I think we need to ta-"
"Your pasta has arrived." The waiter comes out of nowhere as one person sets down one plate in front of me and another in front of Jere.
