Yutu sighed with a dejected look on her face has she gazed between the King and Crown Prince of Atlantis.
Tripitaka stared at his son with a disappointed expression which Wukong kept his eyes down to avoid seeing the disappointment on his father's face has Guanyin and Yutu watched from the side. Tripitaka sighed. "I just don't know what we're going to do with you, Sun!"
"Father, I'm really sorry! I just lost track of time, I-"
Tripitaka raised a hand, cutting Wukong off. "I know and you should count yourself lucky that you arrived not much later than you did, because if you were, then you would had received a harsh scolding from me, young sea monkey."
And Wukong was grateful, he and Yutu arrived with Guanyin, who found them by the coral beds, in the middle of the celebration. He received some questions from his brothers and some of the guests on where he was but always answered with; "I lost track of time, hahahah."
Luckily for him, he managed to convinced them, well Pigsy was still skeptical and would most likely ask him about it more later. Tripitaka sighed again and moved closer to his son then gently held his cheek. Wukong leaned into his father's touch has he purred slightly then looked up to his father.
"Please, Sun. I know something is going on and I need you to tell me. Where were you?"
Wukong bit his lip has he took a moved back slightly, out of his father's comforting hold. He hesitated for a bit then sighed. "Yutu and I were just exploring when all of a sudden, we were attacked by a shark." Wukong explained. He didn't want to lie to his father, who always seems to worry about him every time, so he planned to just tell him about the attack and nothing else. Tripitaka and Guanyin shared a look of concern then Tripitaka moved towards him and looked over his son for any injuries.
"Were you hurt?"
The king asked worriedly which made Wukong smile, calming down a bit and feeling a tad confident. "Yeah, nobody got hurt, except for that shark's pride, hehehehe." Wukong snickered and the king chuckled, calming down after making sure his child wasn't injured, then smiled softly at him. "Well, I'm glad that you weren't hurt."
A small cough caught the two royals' attention and they turned their heads to see Yutu with her small furry arms crossing over her chest and looking at them expectantly. Tripitaka sweat dropped. "I'm glad you weren't hurt as well, Yutu." The merbunny smiled and nodded approvingly which made Wukong giggle and Guanyin softly chuckle.
"I have to say your majesty, it is strange for a shark to attack the prince, considering his ability to commune and befriend the sea life." Guanyin commented has she placed her hand over her mouth, wondering. Yutu huffed has one of her ears flicked. "Hmph! That big meanie chased us even with Wukong using his powers, he still went after us! Luckily we managed to get away and met up with Bull-"
"Bull?"
Yutu gasped and covered her mouth with her paws when she realized what she had done but it was too late, confusion spread across the king's face before a look of understanding dawned on him. "Oh!" Yutu hid behind the prince and Wukong scowled at her. "You went up to the surface again, didn't you?" Tripitaka accused has he approached the mer-monkey with a glowering expression. "Didn't you?!"
Wukong smiled nervously has he tried to act nonchalant. "Nothing really happened..." But most obviously failed when he saw his father with woeful expression has he slapped a hand over his hand. "Oh Wukong, how many times do we have to go through this?!" Wukong looked down shamefaced has he remembered all of their arguments whenever his father, his brothers (specifically Pigsy) or Erlang Shen caught him going up to the surface.
