"YYYYYEEEESSSSS!!! FINALLY!!"
Bai He squealed has she jumped up and down the bed has her tail wagged excitedly. Macaque laughed at how enthusiastic his daughter was, he turned to look at his son and saw the beaming look that radiates happiness directed towards him has his tail also wagged in happiness. Macaque laughed then caught Bai He when she fell towards him, who was giggling so happily.
"Baba, that was so romantic!!"
Macaque laughed and hugged his daughter then it was his son's turn to stand up. "Yeah! Bama was so cool! He was like *zoom* and, *woosh* and, *shing* and – and then he was like, 'You're stupid if you think I'm not going to save you! and 'You dare hurt him and speak bad about my father! Take this meanie!' and then-" Mk continued to make action sounds and interpreting them, making Bai He giggle at her brother's silliness and Macaque smiled softly at his son, reminding him of his beloved mate, who is waiting in their chambers.
Macaque chuckled and used his tail to catch his son in midair. "Okay, I'm starting to see that this story is making you guys more awake than sleepy. Perhaps we should continue this story tomorrow-"
"NO!!!"
The kids clambered onto their father's lap and giving him pleading looks.
"Baba, please finish the story!!"
"Please, Baba please!"
"You can't just leave us hanging like that!!"
"We won't be able to fall asleep if you don't!!"
The kids continued to beg loudly has Macaque tried to calm and pacify them. He sweat dropped and laughed nervously. He then placed his hands on top of their heads and ruffled their hair has he sighed.
"Okay, okay, the both of you win! I'll finish the story."
He was met with two beaming smiles from adorable faces.
"But, the two of you must promise to go to sleep right after. Deal?"
He grinned and the kids nodded eagerly. "We promise!" Macaque laughed and nodded. "Good, now get comfy you two, because Baba is going to tell you the part where the prince and the king finally meet." The kids gasped excitedly has they scrambled back to their designated sides of the bed and once they settled, Macaque cleared his throat.
"After the prince save the king's life and brought them to the safety of a cave away from the storm, the prince healed the king and sought help from his friends of the deep to find the king's fellow land-dwellers, thinking that once he located them, he would find a way bring them to where the king was and bring him back to his home without being seen but what he didn't suspected is that the king will meet his savior in that very moment..."

Everything was dark. He couldn't see a thing but he can hear a distant voice echo across the void of nothingness. The voice was soft, gentle and was smooth as honey. He wouldn't mind listening to this sound all the time in this black abyss, at least he knows he isn't alone here.
He enjoys the peace and quiet the abyss gives him. No annoying and loud people trying to vie for his attention, no friends and sister to pestering and pressuring him to get married, no politics that suck the life out him just peace and quiet at long last. He wouldn't mind staying here with the disembodied voice, it was the only sound that doesn't irritate his ears but instead calms him down and soothes him.
He wouldn't mind staying here forever but then a memory flashed in before his eyes and he can see a face but what caught his attention were the eyes, an alluring bright blue that shines like sapphires in the deep blue sea. Eyes that shown great concern and worry over him, eyes that shown fear, show how afraid they were, for him, they were scared for him, he can feel his heart beat faster at the thought that someone out there, a complete stranger, would care enough to be scared for him.
