Wukong swam down the halls and greeted the servants and Royal court members has he passed by while humming happily.

Everyone greeted the cheerful prince in return while others stared curiously and intriguingly at him.

Wukong was happily humming a song, the song he sang to Macaque in the cave that stormy night. He was broken out of his reverie when he heard shouts and screams further down the hall. Soon, Jin and Yin came into view wearing terrified faces has they seem to be swimming away from something. They saw Wukong and hurriedly swam towards him then hid behind him.

"Princey, save us!"

"That thing's gonna eat us if you don't!"

Wukong looked that the twins in confusion then he felt the currents tremble and the trembling was getting stronger. He looked towards the hallway and saw a black figure in the distance, he squinted his eyes and he saw it was a huge wolf like sea creature running towards them, barking and snarling angrily has razor sharp canines were put on display.

The beast had midnight black fur, piercing golden eyes, axolotl gills under its ears, four limbs and its tail resembles that of a fish's fin. Its barks bellowed across the hallway has it charges towards Wukong and the dolphins.

Wukong sighed then turned to Jin and Yin and gave them a disappointed look. They clicked nervously then Wukong turned back towards the big sea wolf has it comes closer and closer. He outstretched his arm and emitted soundwaves, soon the beast came to a stop in front of him.

They stared each other in the eyes and with his still outstretched hand, placed it on top of the wolf's head and gently petted it then softly spoke.

"There, it's alright boy. Shh..."

The action seemed to soothe the furious beast has it sat down and started wagging its tail. Jin and Yin sighed in relief then screamed and swam away when the wolf tried to bite Jin. It snarled has it watched them retreat. Wukong sighed and shook his head then hugged the sea wolf around the neck has he petted it in soothing motions.

"Shh, shh, sh it's okay boy. It's okay."

"Sun Wukong."

Wukong looked behind and saw a merman swimming towards them. He had long black hair tied into a high ponytail with maroon red fin ears and tail, he wore golden neck armor with a long black cape flowing behind him and golden bracers. The merman was handsome; defined cheekbones, light skin, long lashes and steely blue eyes but what made this one special, is the golden eye resting in the middle of his forehead.

Wukong waved at the approaching merman with a friendly smile.

"Good morning, Erlang."

Erlang Shen, the son of a high-class noble family and the High General of the Atlantean Royal Guard. The prince and the general knew each other has children and grew up alongside each other, learning and training together. Erlang's family had tried for years to convince the king to settle an engagement between them but Tripitaka declines every time, stating that it is within the law that arranged marriages are outlawed since their kind mate for life and can bring bad luck and misfortune upon the couple. So, their kind only sought out their soulmate, their fated other-half – Wukong is thankful for such a law because he doesn't want to be in a loveless marriage and he knows Erlang feels the same.

As years passed, the two of them were still close but Erlang acted formal and professional with Wukong only when they are alone does he allow himself to be relaxed. Wukong once asked why, and Erlang told him it was because he didn't want any false rumors to spread about them. Since everyone knows how his family tried to convince his father to set up a betrothal between them. Wukong understood but that didn't stop him from still being friends with him and if people start spreading rumors, he'll just ask Bai Longma to 'take care' of it.
