From a Leader to a fighter (Lexa x Oc)

Chapter four

"Ambassadors of the coalition, today we honor our covenant. The clan that stands against one of us stands against us all." Lexa says to the people in the throne room. She was sitting on her throne with Indra on the left and Titus on the right. I was right next to her like always.

"Bring in the accused." Titus stated clearly. Two guards bring in queen Nia in chains. They make her kneel in front of me and Lexa. "Queen Nia of Azgeda has confessed to the destruction of Mount Weather, resulting in the death of 49 members of Skaikru. Wanheda, what say you?"

Everyone turns to Clarke. "Skaikru demands justice"

"Ice Nation does not answer to this girl." Queen Nia states.

"Silence." Titus cuts her off. "The punishment for your crime is death." The audience starts to mummer. "Do you have anything to say in your defense?"

"I need no defense. She does. Today is judgment day. I call for a vote of no confidence." Queen Nia said directed towards Lexa.

"Take this queen to meet her fate."

"Not so fast" One of the ambassadors said. "Commander no more." Others get up and say the same thing.

"Take them away, too!" Titus yelled.

"Wait" Me and Lexa yell in unison.

"Lexa, please, execute these traitors--"

"Let her make her move." Lexa cuts him off. More people stand up.

"Commander, what is this?" Clarke asks.

"This is a coup." She respond.

"This is the law. Her law. A unanimous vote of the ambassadors or death are all that can remove a Commander from power." Nia explained.

"It's not unanimous." Clarke says.

"We don't recognize the legitimacy of Skaikru."

"We do." Titus butts in. "Yesterday, Skaikru took the brand. They are the 13th clan. This vote of no confidence fails. All these coup plotters will suffer the exact same fate as the Ice Queen"

"She won't take our heads because she knows our armies will retaliate. None of us here wants war." Nia said loudly.

"We both know what you want, Nia." I say. Lexa walks up to her and I follow.

"If you think me and Bouda unfit to command, issue the challenge and let's get on with it." Lexa added on.

"Very well, you are challenged."

"And I accept your challenge."

"So be it" Titus says loud and clear. "Single combat, Warrior against Warrior. To the death. Nia of Azgeda, who do you choose to be your champion?"

"My son, Roan. Prince of Azgeda."

"Heda, who'll fight for you?"

I knew that Lexa would want to fight for herself, so I stopped her from saying anything and whispered in her ear. "Heda, I have been tortured by Azgeda way too many times, please let me fight." She looks at me and nods.

She walks back to her throne and I follow. "I'm the commander, only one, can fight for me." She then looks towards me.

"I am bouda. I am the commanders other half and I have sworn an oath to protect her with my life. When's the fight?"

Clarke and Titus looks at me worried, but I know I can take Roan in a fight in my sleep.

Me and Lexa have meetings with the Night bloods every once and a while. That is where we are right now. She was sitting on her throne, the kids were sitting on the ground around her and I was standing by her side. As you can tell I like standing next to her more than sitting.
