It has been about 8 days since everything happened. I am still grieving but Luna has been helping me out a lot. Right now, I am currently outside of Izzy's door. Her room is right next to mine. I wanted to share a room, but figured it would be best not to because of my nightmares. I take a deep breath and knock. I hear a small 'come in' from inside.
"Hey Izzy," I say walking in.
"Hi, mommy." She said looking up at me from her makeshift bed. I sit next to her.
"I think it's time me and you have a talk." She looks away from my eyes already knowing what it's about. "I know I haven't been around much since everything happened, and I'm sorry. I'm gonna change that." First step of being a good parent, is acknowledging when you're wrong. "I know this has been very hard for you. I also know that you want to be strong for me but you don't have to." Her eyes start to tear up. "Izzy I love you, and we'll get through this together."
"You have enough on your plate. I didn't want you to worry about me." Her voice cracks. For a six, almost seven year old, she's really smart. It's probably because both me and Lexa used to teach her things on top of her going to school.
I put my hand on her cheek wiping at her eyes, "I'm your mother. I'm always going to worry."
She got on my lap and hugged me while crying. "I miss Mama," She sobs.
"Me too" I whisper while holding onto her.

A/n: I'm not really good at emotional stuff, but I hope this chapter was good.
