Lexa was asleep on the couch in our room and I was sat across from her drawing her. She started to move around in her sleep until she jolted awake. She was breathing heavily. I went over and sat next to her.
"Hey, hey. It's okay. You're okay." I said reassuring her. "What were you dreaming about?"
"The commanders before me, spoke to me in my sleep again. I saw their deaths at war, at the hands of an assassin."
"Lexa-" I go to reassure her but she cuts me off.
"It was a warning. They think I'm betraying their legacy. Jus drein jus daun has always, always been the way of our people."
"Listen to me Ai hodnes (A/n: My love), A ceasefire is not a betrayal. What you did on that battlefield stopped a war. Stopped unnecessary deaths. Your legacy will be peace." I said grabbing her hands. She looked at me, sighed, and then stood up. She looked over and saw the picture I was drawing before she woke up. "Do you like it?" I asked.
Before she had time to respond someone knocked on the door. "Enter" She said loud and clear. Titus and Clarke walked in.
"Pardon us Heda, I didn't realize you were busy." He stated. Some guards walked in carrying a big crate.
"Are you going to tell me what's in the box or not?" Lexa asked.
"Forgive me" Titus responded quickly. Clarke was stood next to me by now. "This is a gift from King Roan of Azgeda for Wanheda." I looked over towards Clarke and she shrugged. "The messenger said this is both proof of Azgeda's loyalty to the coalition and an answer to a yet unanswered question. May I?" Titus asked.
Clarke walked forward and Titus gestured to some guards to open it. Inside the crate was a guy from Mount Weather. "Emerson." Clarke said upon seeing him. Emerson got up and tackled Clarke to the ground. He was attacking her.
"Stop him!" I yelled. Some guards ran over and grabbed him. "Get him out of here!" I yelled when they had him contained.
"Put him in a cage now." Lexa yelled over Emerson's muffled screams.
I went over to Clarke to make sure she was alright. "I'm fine." She brushed me off standing up. The guards finally got Emerson out.

Me and Lexa were talking with Titus waiting for Clarke to arrive.
"You're letting her cloud your judgment." Titus said directed towards me.
"I thought you were supposed to be with us" I said pointing at me and Lexa/
"I am. You are too personally in-" He got cut off when Clarke walked in. "Here she is."
"You wanted to see me, Commander, Bouda?" She asked ignoring Titus.
"Yes." Lexa replied. "We need to discuss the fate of the last Mountain Man."
"I believe he deserves death." Titus butted in.
"She can speak for herself, Titus." I dismissed him.
"Titus is right." Clarke agreed. So much for blood must not have blood.
"You see?" Titus walked closer to us. "It is human nature to need vengeance. Only once satiated can there be peace. That is our way."
"That was our way." Lexa corrected.
"Clarke?" Clarke gave me a look. "So, blood must not have blood applies only when it is my people who bleed." I asked.
"That was about stopping a war. This is about finishing one. I'm sorry, but if you want my advice, I agree with Titus. He deserves to die for what he did."
"We're not looking for advice. We're looking for a decision." Lexa commented.
"He was gifted to you. The crime he stands charged with is against your people." Titus added on.
"So, what will it be then, Clarke?" I finally asked. "Banishment from our land forever. Or death by 49 cuts from your hand?"
"You have til sundown to decide." With that me and Lexa walked out.
(...)
It was sundown and It was finally time for Clarke to make her decision. Emerson was tied up in the throne room and all of the ambassadors, including Clarke, were waiting for me and Lexa to arrive. Lexa walked in with me by her side. She stands near her throne and I stand beside her like always.
"We come together tonight, as we have countless times before, to watch a man die." Lexa addressed the people in the room.
"Wanheda," I addressed Clarke. Lexa gave a guard a knife which he in return gave to Clarke. Only Lexa and I and the guards were allowed to have weapons in the throne room as said so in the law. "Vengeance is yours."
Clarke walked up and denied the knife. "No." She said. Everyone was surprised and started to mumble things to each other. Clarke stood right in front of Emerson. "I don't know if your death would bring me peace. I just know I don't deserve it."
Titus walked towards Clarke. "This man must die. If Skaikru will not take his life then Heda will"
"Heda will speak for herself. Enough, Titus." Lexa said speaking about herself in third person.
"What the hell is this?" Emerson asked.
"I wouldn't be killing you for what you've done. I'd be killing you for what I've done." Clarke answered. "I give this man his life. Blood must not have blood." She said looking towards me.
Emerson starts screaming and the ambassadors started talking louder. "Silence" Lexa screamed. "The crimes of the Mountain cannot be answered by one man."
"Wanheda knows this. Her actions show us a promise for a new future. A world in which violence does not always answer violence. A world in which our children can flourish without the shadow of death" I said looking around everyone.
"This prisoner is banished from lands. He will live. But he will live with the ghost of those he has lost. Haunted until the end of his days by the knowledge that he is the last of his kind." Lexa added on.
Clarke walked closer to him. "May you live forever.
