We were riding on horse back, on the way to Arkadia to give them the Queen's body. I was in the middle of Lexa and Clarke, with guards all around us.
"Think about home?" I asked Clarke.
"Thinking about whether Arkadia is home." She responded. "When I left, it had a different name. I was different."
"You left a hero to your people. And you return one. The Mountain Slayer returns with the body of the Ice Queen. You bring them justice." I reassure her.
"You bring them justice." She countered.
"We bring them peace." I said motioning to me, Clarke, and Lexa. Although it didn't seem like it, Clarke and Lexa did get close while I was in the Mountain. Clarke got to see a different side of Lexa and vice versa. Of course Clarke didn't know everything about Lexa, like I do. But she knew enough for them to become sorta friends.
"Heda, Bouda!" A guard yelled.
We stopped our horses and the sight in front of us made us all freeze. The people we sent to protect the skaikru was slaughtered. 300 of the people I grew up with, my people, were dead. At first I was thinking it was a retaliation from Azgeda, since we killed their queen. Upon further observation I see bullet holes. No grounder would ever pick up a gun. We walk closer to them.
"All bullet holes." Clarke points out.
"Come quick!" A guard yelled to us. We ran over to them careful not to step on bodies.
"Indra!" I yelled running to her seeing her still alive, but hurt.
"I need bandages!" Clarke yelled.
"Stay away!" Indra said to her. "You're one of them."
"Indra Let her help." Lexa said in a stern voice. Someone gave Clarke what she asked for.
"Indra, what happened here?" I asked trying not to let my voice shake from both anger and sadness.
"They attacked while we slept. Our watch was to the north, looking for Azgeda. They killed our archers first. Our infantry couldn't get close. Then they executed the wounded." She explained.
"The summit was two days ago. How could Kane do this?" Clarke asked.
"It wasn't Kane. It was Pike." She said looking to me. I have never liked pike. He was a man who was easily hated. He doesn't care about anyone but himself no matter what he tells everyone. He's also a big coward, and would attack people just so they won't attack first.
"How did you escape?" Lexa asked.
"Bellamy." She replied.
"Bellamy was with them?" I asked. "One step forward and three steps back. That boy gives me a reason to want to kill him everyday."
"He wanted to spare the wounded, but they wouldn't listen. He convinced Pike to let me live, so I could deliver a message."
"What message?" Lexa asks.
"Skaikru rejects the coalition. This is their land now. We can leave, or we can die." Indra recites.
"How dumb can they be? A group of what 500 people with guns give or take, most of who can't fight, versus a tribe with 12 clans? If they wanted to die all they had to do was say. I will happily give them what they want." Clarke looks at me like I was joking. I'm not joking.
Lexa looks at one of the guards. "Send riders. I call upon the armies of the Twelve Clans. In a day's time, we lay waste to Arkadia, and everyone within their walls" Lexa said loud and clear.
