I'm left alone as Jamie takes the twins on a walk, he's going to talk to bran I know it. I had no idea what to do, I'm never left to do what I please. I decide to take a walk of my own, fresh air. It wasn't fresh for long. I was walking through the courtyard where I bump into Daenerys.
"Your grace." I say quickly, as I peel myself away from her.
"My apologies." I continue, I'm surprised she allowed me to stay. I ran away, I ran from her hospitality.
"Lady Roslyn, just the person I wanted to see." She starts, giving me a smile.
"Walk with me." She says holding her arm out, I take it cautiously. She never spoke to me before.
"Tell me, what is it about Ser Jamie?" She asks, I look taken back.
"I'm unsure, I never imagined I would have two perfect children with him. I never even truly liked him when I met him. He was just different to what I was used to. He was quite kind to me, when we were alone. I love him, i have loved him for years." I reply, I didn't know how to put it into words, I didn't want to spill my heart out to her, that's one thing I knew for sure.
"From what you were used too? How was Jon any different?" She asks, sounding calm.
"What?" I ask, why would she ask about Jon?
"You said he was different to what you were used to. How was he different from Jon?" She says again.
"Well, I suppose that me and Jon had different goals. I was going to King's landing, to become a queen. He was going to the wall, to become a ranger. We were both keeping eachother back. Me and Jamie, we never held eachother back. If I had to do something he would support me and go with me. I would do the same. Jon wouldn't. He would now, he asked for my hand a month ago, he promised to protect me, my children. But I didn't want any of that. His protection wouldn't ever be enough. Jamie's was." I say, she looks angry, but she also looks like she's trying to conceal it.
"Thank you, thank you for your honesty. I must go. Enjoy your walk." She says before rushing away. That was weird. I go to turn a corner and I hear voices. Tyrion and Jamie to be exact. Where are the twins?
"Cersei told me the pregnancy had changed her. A chance for you both to start again. And I believed her." Tyrion says, I decide to listen.
"Was she lying about the baby too?" Tyrion asks, that's what Cersei said after I left.
"No, that part is real." Jamie says, why isn't he saying it's not his?
"She's always been good at using the truth to tell lies. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. She's fooled me more than anybody." Jamie says, I hear a small amount of humour in his tone.
"What?" Jamie says after a few seconds of silence.
"She never fooled you. You always knew exactly what she was, and you loved her anyway." Tyrion says before they turn the corner, I had only a second to react. I decide to pretend to bump into them.
"Sorry my Lord!" I say before looking up, pretending that I didn't realise it was him.
"Oh Jamie, Tyrion. Hi." I say getting up.
"What are you doing?" Jamie asks, amused at my act.
"I'm going on a walk, what does it look like?" I reply, smoothing my hair. Why didn't he say it wasn't his? Why didn't he deny his love.
"Well I won't keep you from your walk." He says and I nod.
"Bye Tyrion." I say before nodding to Tyrion, who by the way, looks amazing with that Hand of the queen badge on.I walk around the crypt that evening. Theon had returned home, he wanted to fight. I had never felt more happy to see him. It had been so long. I'm looking at the rows of soldiers waiting for food. But I see Gilly and her son, he's all grown up now. I watch as she talks to this little girl, I watch as the little girls face lights up. Before i can go over to her, a horn blows. It startles me. It's the giant man, I forgot his name but I like him. He notices me and waves, I wave too. "Is the giant woman still here!" He yells out to me, I nod and his face lights up. That evening we all are gathered to the library to talk battle, i dont know why I was invited.
"We can't beat them in a straight fight." Jon says, he's head of the battle plans.
"So, what can we do?" Jamie asks, he's really in his element. I've never seen him so focused on anything.
"The Night King made them all. They follow his command. If he falls Getting to him may be our best chance." Jon says, I never thought I'd see the day the two of them get along.
"If that's true, he'll never expose himself." Jamie says, he knows what he's talking about.
"Yes, he will." Bran says, everyone turns to look at him.
"He'll come for me. He's tried before, many times, with many Three-Eyed Ravens." Bran continues, what the fucks a three eyed raven?
"Why? What does he want?" I input, no point of me being here if i won't talk.
"An endless night. He wants to erase this world, and I am its memory." Bran replies.
"That's what death is, isn't it? Forgetting. Being forgotten. If we forget where we've been and what we've done, we're not men anymore. Just animals. Your memories don't come from books. Your stories aren't just stories. If I wanted to erase the world of men, I'd start with you." Sam says to him, he's right. Bran is in danger.
"How will he find you?" Tyrion asks, he has to have a stool to stand on so he can see the table, I've never seen him look tall, it's weird.
"His mark is on me." Brown says before lifting the cuff of his right arm, revealing a red mark in the shape of a hand.
"He always knows where I am." He says, that looks painful.
"We'll put you in the crypt, where it's safest." Jon says, bran shakes his head.
"No. We need to lure him into the open before his army destroys us all. I'll wait for him in the Godswood." Bran says I look at it on the map.
"You want us to use you as bait?" I ask, why would he do that?
"We're not leaving you alone out there." Arya says, agreeing with me, she's a warrior now, she should defend him.
"He won't be. I'll stay with him. With the Ironborn. I took this castle from you. Let me defend you now." Theon says, I'm surprised he stepped up. I heard stories of what happened to him, he lost is cock, he was tortured, apparently he went insane and decided his name was reek.
"We'll hold off the rest of them for as long as we can." A man called Davos says, I like Davos.
"When the time comes, Ser Davos and I will be on the walls, to give you the signal to light the trench." Tyrion says, Daenerys turns to him.
"Ser Davos is perfectly capable of waving a torch on his own. You'll be in the crypt." She says, Tyrion looks appalled.
"Your Grace, I have fought before, I can do it again. Alongside the men and women risking their lives." He replies, he is shocked to his core.
"There are thousands of them and only one of you. You can't fight as well as they can, but you can think better than any of them. You're here because of your mind. If we survive, I'll need it." She replies, he did nothing but nod.
"The dragons should give us an edge in the field." Davos says, there back into their plans.
"If they're in the field, they're not protecting Bran. We need to be near him. Not too near, or the Night King won't come. But close enough to pursue him when he does." Jon says, he knows exactly what he is doing, more so than Jamie. Its impressive.
"Dragonfire will stop him?" Arya says, nobody answers for a moment.
"I don't know. No one's ever tried." Bran replies, it's silent for a moment.
"We're all going to die." The giant says, who's name I finally remember. Tormund turns to Brianne.
"But at least we die together." He says to her, she looks utterly disgusted, it's hard not to laugh.
"Let's get some rest." Jon says, we all leave at his orders.
