always watching you

You went down to the kitchen and thought of who could have been in your room. You sat down and placed the letter next to your plate. Katie wanted by the toaster as she greeted you „Morning Y/n. What is with that paper?" „I don't know. It is a note I found this morning. It is not handwritten and it is cute and creepy at the same damn time." You said before handing the note to your sister. Katie read the three lines carefully and her face turned serious. „Y/n.... you need to bring this to the Paw Patrol." You nodded. If this was a clue to draw the murders to an end, you'd do anything. You never could have imagined that something like this would happen in your life. Katie yelped in surprise, as the toast was ready. „Every time Katie. How did you not see this coming?" You asked in a more playful tone, wich your sister gladly answered. „I guess old habits die hard." You had breakfast and then you headed out to bring the note to the Paw Patrol. In Katie's car. She insisted on driving you there. Once the two of you had gotten out of the car, Katie and you were greeted by the puppies. Skye even jumped into your arms. „Y/n! Are you finally visiting us?" „Not really. Sorry Skye but there is something important I have to give to Ryder." „What is it?" Skye was curious. She absolutely shipped you and Ryder. „It is a note I found this morning. Not handwritten, not signed and according to it, someone watched me sleep." You explained and added, that no one should have been able to get into your room. Your window had been locked the whole night, just like your door. Chase listened to your words with a concentrated face but before he could say anything, Ryder did it for him „Sounds like a Stalker you got there." „When did you get here?" Zuma asked, he and the others did not notice Ryder coming up behind them. „Let's just say you listened closely to Y/n's words and not my footsteps." He chuckled but you didn't really trust that. It felt like Ryder appeared out of nowhere. You always thought you could read people like an open book but Ryder concealed everything perfectly. His body language told you the same story as his words. „Chase, I think we just got the puzzle piece we need." „Are you suggesting that Y/n has a stalker, who is the murderer?" „It makes sense. Why would anyone kill randomly teenagers? Why else would there be a note on...where did you find it?" Ryder asked. He almost slipped up but caught himself. „On my bedside table." you answered truthfully. „Thanks Y/n." Ryder said and gave you a small smile. You blushed for some random reason.

„May I see the note?" Ryder asked. You handed him the paper and he had a look at the few lines written on it:

Good morning Senpai
You look beautiful when you are asleep btw.
Hope your day is just as beautiful darling.

„Well that's just a waste of paper." He stated before analyzing the sentences a little bit closer. „Y/n, do you have an admirer?" „No? I don't think I have." you said. Why would anyone think that you're amazing? Ryder looked at the paper again. He pretended like he didn't know there was a secret code and just pointed out that there are numbers underneath certain letters. „What if we write the letters down in order of the numbers?" Chase asked. „Why would you do that?" Rubble wasn't really sure if that was a good idea but Ryder was already on it. „Number one is a.... number two is l and three is w. That w has two numbers?" „Does it?" „Yes, anyway...number four is a again, five is y and six is s. It says „always" so far." Ryder kept doing the same with the rest of the numbers, while Katie and you played with the puppies. After a few more minutes, Ryder came over to you with a serious look on his face. „Katie, can I borrow Y/n for a second?" „Uhhh....sure" „Thanks. Y/n, follow me." You followed Ryder inside the lookout. „Wow, it is so cozy here...." you say and you turned to Ryder. „Y/n.. the code was to hide another message. It says always watching you." Ryder handed you the paper. „You have officially a stalker. If it turns out the note and the murders are connected, your stalker is a yandere." „But who is it?" „I have no idea. Stay safe, okay?" The soft and concerned tone in his voice calmed you down. You gave him a small smile and you promised to stay safe. When you left to play with the puppies again, Ryder lowered his head a bit and his whole body language changed. His eyes had once again a faint red glow as he said „I will always be watching you Senpai...."
