Joshua Chen is a classical musician, author, debater, and mathematician. He loves being arcane and complex things. Experienced many things about depression and love, he has written "Au Revoire" as a symbolic rewrite of his own personal story.
The beginning of "Au Revoire" was from a dream, that a boy of 14 and a little girl fall in love with each other, but are interdicted from meeting by the girl's parents. Because Joshua felt that that was an excellent story plot, he used it as the beginning of "Au Revoire"
His first book of the Martinez trilogy, "After 10 years", is also a rewrite of his own personal story, a story of infatuation. Though the second book "Love for generations" is not a rewrite, it's a fictitious sequel of his own story.
