[ SEASON 1, EPISODE 1 ]
ALASKA IS AWAKENED from her peaceful nap after pondering about what she would be doing right now with her father, her best friend, on her fourteenth birthday.
Each birthday was always a celebration in the Prescott family, her dad had always gone out in his own way with what they have in the Ark and she always felt comfort and happiness on her birthdays. Yet, for the last two years, she's been feeling nothing but sorrow and isolation. She's stuck with four gray walls to stare at, a small sky window, a grey door, and a small bed.
Two guards walk in, not even bothering to announce themselves or knock and Alaska jumps up instantly. She always little bit feared the guards because What if they took her away? Float her when she's not even eighteen yet? The only one who didn't scare her was one named Bellamy Blake.
He was one of the only guards who would check up on Alaska and visit more than he should've. He doesn't visit anymore though.
"Number 214 up against the wall."
She wasn't much of a fighter. She was always the sweet innocent girl growing up, everyone who saw her walking through the halls of the Ark would wave at her, smile, and sometimes complement her and her father. She missed the attention honestly.
Being held in confinement changed that but she liked to believe she was still the same girl. That's not true, though.
Alaska didn't say anything and walked to the wall beside her, and held her hands up in the air as she bit the inside of her cheek that could've left blood.
One of the guards moved towards Alaska, "Turn around." Without a comeback, she did what she was told. Alaska glanced over, seeing him be handed a small box in his hands and he opened it, showing a silver wristband. He pulled it out, grabbed one of her wrists, and started to put it on her. "What is that?" She asked frantically.
Alaska was starting to get scared now. The wristband clicked and it stung her wrist, she took her hand out of his grip and caressed her wrist softly, trying to relieve the pain.
"Come on." The man said and pushed Alaska's shoulders forward to lead her outside the door. The second guard stood beside her, gripping her other arm, and they pushed her away from her Skybox. Alaska looked around as she kept biting the inside of her cheek, feeling blood seep into her tongue.
She saw everyone else, no matter gender or age, being taken out of their skybox. She's not the only one. Alaska saw some of them putting up a fight against the guards, verbally or physically. Others just went freely— like her.
Alaska looked up at the guard on the right of her, "Where are you taking me?" He didn't even look down at her. She looked down at the floor, her mind racing full of thoughts and possibilities.
