007. Where's Alaska?

[ SEASON 1, EPISODE 5 ]

ALASKA WAS SLEEPING in the tent that she shares with Harper. She was tossing and turning in her sleep while Harper slept peacefully across from her. Unexpectedly, her eyes snapped open and her body jumped up at the sound of a blast.

She looked around, getting out of the cot and walking over to Harper. She shook her shoulder slightly to wake her up, "Harper. Harp, did you hear that?" The older girl had woken up, squinting her eyes to adjust. "No?" Harper mumbled, her voice raspy and confused.

Alaska chortled in amusement, "Get up, come on." She didn't wait for Harper to get up and follow as she walked out the tent and saw the many others now, awake and gathered around.

She sees them looking up at the sky and by following their actions she sees an Exodus ship coming down to Earth.

It wasn't big enough to be the people from the Ark but maybe it could've been supplies, food, or at least something useful.

Alaska sees Harper come out from the tent with a blanket around her body, from the corner of her eye and stand next to her. "What is that?" Harper asked once she looked up and saw it disappear behind the trees. "Seems to be an Exodus ship." Alaska guessed.

Octavia spots Alaska and Harper and jogs over, "Sky, Harper! Did you guys see that?" They nodded, "Come on, let's go meet Bellamy!" She said, motioning for them to follow.

Alaska looks up at Harper to see if she wants to come but instead, she sees the small grin pointed at the younger girl, "Sky?"

Alaska smiled sheepishly before shrugging, "It's a new thing, I guess."

Harper nodded with a smile, "I like it." Alaska gave the older girl a lopsided smile, caressing her arm shortly before running off to catch up with Octavia. Harper watched her run off before she went back into their shared tent, yawning.

When the fourteen year old came down to Earth on her birthday of all days, she didn't think that she would have anyone. Her whole life it was mostly just her and her dad— no one else. I mean, she had friends but she couldn't get close enough because she was scared they'd figure out her secret. Yet, coming down to Earth has been one of the best things for her because she met her family. Harper is a part of that.

Alaska and Octavia entered Bellamy's tent and saw three guys in there along with Bellamy, the map set out in the middle of them. "If it cleared the ridge, it's probably near the lake." One of the guys said.
