[ SEASON 1, EPISODE 6 ]

ALASKA STARTS TO REGAIN CONSCIOUSNESS when a teary-eyed shaky Octavia whispers shouts her name, "Alaska.... Sky... please, wake up. Come on." The girl peeks open her eyes slightly, seeing a glimpse of the older girl above her. She felt a headache overcome any other senses and the first words to come out of her mouth were, "What the fuck?!" Alaska cursed, recalling a man hitting her over the head.

Octavia ignores her comment and sighs in relief, moving forward and giving a small hug to the girl. Alaska hugged back and took a chance to look around, making her more confused and alarmed about the situation she and Octavia were in.

"Uh, where are we?" She asks once Octavia pulls away.

Octavia glances around quickly before back at the girl, "I don't know." Alaska tries to sit up, letting out a small noise of pain at the ache in her head. She presses her fingers gently against the side of her head, bringing it back to her view showing some bloodher unique black blood.

Her lips parted in surprise, wiping it on her jeans, hoping that Octavia didn't already see.

But she did. "What... what is that?" Alaska feels her heart fall to her stomach. That was the one rule in the Prescott family; never let anyone see your blood and rather, never put yourself in a situation where they could. The problem was, that the ground always put Alaska in that position.

Always the possibility of someone seeing.

She just never thought it would be now. Octavia looked down at her fingers which seemed to have been stained by the black and with a confused, scared expression. Alaska had no idea how to approach that.

Alaska shakes her head, trying to ignore the question. "We should find a way out of here.." Octavia watched as the young girl sat up properly and now tried to stand up on her two feet. "Sky, why is your blood black?"

Alaska sighed, finally standing up and looking around the cave walls that seemed to have held different things. Alaska could guess almost right away that a grounder had captured them. "Sky!" Octavia's louder voice shakes her out of her thoughts. Alaska turned and looked over at her who was now standing up.

"No one like you has blood like that."

Why hide it now, right? "Octavia... if you're gonna ask how and why I have this weird blood, I can't give you an answer! Because I don't know why. I got it from my dad and beyond that, I have no idea." Alaska says, almost helplessly. She's been wondering her whole life why.
