Third Person Pov 

David would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous today was the day he was going to meet his birth mother. He had talked to darrian earlier which did help calm his nerves but it would have been better if kevin was actually there with him instead of doug. Doug was cool but it wasn't the same. 

Kevin only trusted doug to be there with david sure after news got out all kevin's friends were aware and shocked at the news. Kevin was very protective of david and let it be known that he wouldn't hesitate to kill for his son. "Doug if she tries anything-" kevin starts before doug stops him. 

"Kay kay calm down i promise you i got this" doug says and kevin nods. "dad why can't you be here? Can't the work wait?" David asks and kevin sighs. "I'm afraid not but don't worry i'll be back before you know it" Kevin says. "Say word to your dead you'll be back before i know it" David says. 

"Word to my dead" kevin says before pulling his son into a hug. "Now you be good and if she tries stealing anything the extra gun is on top of the fridge" kevin says making david straight face him. "Dad go to work" David says before laughing. "I'm serious and the other one is under the bed" kevin says. 

"Alright dad i'll keep that in mind" David says. Now david was stuck being nervous again waiting for his mother to show up. He honestly didn't know what he would do or how he would react when he saw her. He doesn't know if he'll be open arms or give her the cold shoulder he just doesn't. 

He really hopes that his father was wrong and that she had changed but they do say people never change but david really hopes that this isn't the case this time. David however found himself laughing thinking about the way his father talked about the extra guns his father was crazy. 

At least now he knows where he gets his craziness from. The more time he spent with his father the more he realized that they actually weren't that different they were similar in a lot of ways he remembers doug actually telling him how there was no doubt he was kevin's mini me. Then david saw a car. 

His heart dropped once it stopped in front of the house he knew it was his mother in that car and by the looks of it she didn't come alone. 

Is it bad i nearly cried and still nearly cry when i read chapter nine of the oppositions baby like bro not me acting like i ain't see everything that was coming
