Third Person Pov 

One thing that nobody can escape from in life is change. Whether it's a big or little change your gonna experience it and lord knows david had his fair share of big changes. His music career, losing people he loved and the whole finding out who his real parents are thing but he got through it. 

Angela had definitely changed she went from being an irresponsible adult who wouldn't ever hold herself accountable for her actions into a hard working woman who tried her best to be there for her son. Kevin had definitely changed and he thanked his son for that he had changed him for the better. 

He also thanked doug who had been there through thick and thin and always put his first and seemed to always have the solution to his problems. He also learned from angela that sometimes people can be capable of change. "What's this?" Kevin asks as david handed him a box. 

David figured now was the perfect time to give his father his gift. Angela was working tonight and doug was going out to meet up with some friends so it would be just the two of them so david decided it was the best time. "Just open it" David says and kevin opens the box and is met with a chain. 

Kevin looks at his son before taking it out of the box. "I wanted to give you this chain so that way you'll always have a part of me with you like how you gave me this chain after i was born and i haven't ever taken it off" David says before pulling his chain out of his shirt and kevin smiles before putting the chain on. 

Kevin pulled his son into a hug that was quickly returned. It was funny to think that kevin thought he wouldn't ever see his son again now here he was. He still remembers at the hospital how he was hesitant to hold his son because he didn't want to get attached since he knew he couldn't keep him. 

He meant it when he told david that now that he was in his life he wasn't going anymore any problem they faced they would solve it together as a family. They had been through so much but they had each other now as they would always get through it as a family.
