ENGLAND, BRIGHTON
A FEW YEARS BACK...

By her human design, Mei had formed an unhealthy tendency to scour for those little cathartic moments. Impulsively booking two tickets to Brighton owing to Wilbur's fleeting request, that was more of a passing thought than anything.

Corpse gave her a sly fox-like grin, lacing their ringed hands together before ambling down the buzzing streets. Only recently engaged, he had followed through with Mei calling it an 'engagement honeymoon' for the sake of excuses.

Justifying the trip to ease the sudden guilt that had smothered Mei the moment the verification that the tickets were secured was sent to her email. Without even asking Corpse beforehand, therefore causing him to drop out of a project to instead accompany her in England.

But thank the stars, he'd secretly informed her the individuals he was meant to collaborate with were unlikeable people. And in the end, that was what saved Mei from the blade of sorrow and regret. Not that she felt any less ashamed, but at least her capricious behavior was good for something.

Darkness had stretched its arms across the horizon as they entered the pub, attending a Lovejoy gig. To Mei, this seemed like the perfect night. And she made it her goal to talk to at least one person she found interesting just to work on her socializing skills. It was one of the many things she'd written on her to do list that day. Although human interaction came easy to her through computers and microphones, the real world was a different story.

'Mei!' she spun around at the mention of her name. Spotting a gentleman with brown mounds of hair going across the right side of his forehead, looming over her in an almost frightening manner. Mei Mori, not used to being around tall people, took an involuntary step back as he neared.

Will lifted an eyebrow, grinning from ear to ear.

'And Corpse,' added Corpse begrudgingly in jest, Will's eyes landed on him. Smile deepening.

'How could I forget?' Will said, extending a hand out.

Corpse took it, shaking it once.

'Isn't this the first time you two are interacting?'

Will shook his head. 'False, we've interacted on twitter before.'

         'But not on stream? Ever?'

Both of them shrugged, vexingly so. Unsure with the spiderwebs of streams they'd been apart of.

Will's gaze drifted behind them, eyes lighting up. "Quackity!" he shouted. Mei's head whipped back at the speed of lightning. And sure enough, Alex Quackity ambled in with no care in the world. A fresh new navy blue beanie, grey jumper and silver cross around his neck.

"Are you fucking serious? Is this why you've been so secretive this week?" Mei's voice raised, but people were either too drunk or too unbothered to care about the small commotion.

Alex laughed. "No, hello? No, I watch all your videos and I'm a fan? And you're so awesome and great and tall and handsome?"

"You're so awesome and great and handsome," said Will, embracing him, he practically engulfed Quackity's five eight build.
