ᅳ ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ-"Ao'nung!" A young Metkayina Na'vi hissed her best friends name whilst he continued to swim further towards the dangerous sea creature so he could manage to get a better view.
"Ah," Ao'nung lightly scowled, as he surfaced. "C'mon Tali, imagine the look on our parents faces once they see us returning on the back of that thing!" He grinned, trying his best to persuade the young girl.
"Are you stupid?" Ta'liyah reeled, "We are too small, even if we were to be combined!"
"Hey! Now that is only because you're the small one, had it been anyone else I were to combine with, I'd be as big as my father." He defended, the girl shot him a glare.
"Please.. Tali..." Ao'nung pleaded, "My father might even crown me on the spot." Realizing that didn't help Ao'nung tried once more. "C'mon I'll even ask my mother to prepare your favorite dish for my future ceremony..."
"Your father would do no such thing, for he isn't stupid.. like you." Ta'liyah scowled.
"Sometimes, I do wonder where you get your stupidity from.." She added, looking towards the abyss sky as if it held the answer to her question.
Side eyeing her friend and seeing his agape expression towards her remark, she bit her lip attempting to conceal her giggle.
The girl thought to herself; about how she should've known better than to meet with the boy after he had made her promise to just follow along with him and to keep everything they were about to do a secret.
She'd thought that it would just be another time they'd challenge the established rules that forbid them from swimming pass the reef. But as they swam along outside of the reef borders Ao'nung had sighted a Skimwing further away in the distance.
"You promised." He argued once more, a triumph grin grew on his face, noticing the girls faltering expression. He swam towards her, offering her his hand.
She challenged him with a look before deeply sighing and eventually giving in as she accepted his hand. Ao'nung smiled, warming the girls heart. He swam them towards his Ilu, easily establishing the bond with his free hand.
Ta'liyah let go of the boys hand, which made the boy shoot her a look before realizing it was only to make it easier for him to mount the Ilu, which he quickly did so, looking back towards the girl expectingly.
Ta'liyah hesitantly seated herself behind her friend, swinging her arms around her friends chest.
Ao'nung was quick to grab her hands, tightening her hold. It was only right since outside the reef the waves were alot more harsh than the ones near home.
"Ready?" He gleamed, she could practically feel the enthusiasm radiating off of him and to be fair it was hard to conceal her own.
"Mhm," She murmured, a smile on her face began forming once the Ilu dove and began speeding towards the Skimwing's way.
As they made their way through the sea, Ta'liyah glossed over the oceans beauty. It was rare for the two juveniles to venture outside of the reef borders and when they did make plans to go.. Ta'liyah made sure to always bring her woven pouch so she could bring home the rare bountiful shells and stones she'd find.
She eyed all the sorts of shells and gems the further sea had to offer, glumly accepting that they had no time to stop for any of them. So, she moved her focus towards the exotic unique sea creatures instead.
Ao'nung observed how his friend had been admiring the sea. Ao'nung allowed the Ilu to grace a more slower pace. Ta'liyah noticed this, shortly squeezing her embrace on him as a silent thanks and lowered her head to rest against the boys back as they cruised.
