I'd thanked Anahera for going out of her way to heal me as I took my leave. She wasn't known throughout the clan about her wondrous healing abilities for nothing. My petty cuts and grazes were now all practically gone.

She hadn't pressed me with any questions involving her daughter, which I had silently thanked her for. The conversation was more surfaced and not too personal. Her easy-going words allowed me to relax and brought me some sort of comfort.

It's been a while since I've had a civil conversation with anyone.

My mind reeled back to the heated argument I had just hours before. Honestly, if anything the girl was right. I had no right to go after her like that.

But for some reason, I just had to ask her for myself.

I don't know why I didn't believe it. Kiri had said it, and everyones' reactions seemed to confirm it, but I just couldn't swallow the fact that Ta'liyah had actually found interest in someone..

I frowned, furrowing my brows as I continued my way home.

But still.. I hated it. Her choice, that is.

She showed no sign of reluctance after I had asked her if she would leave everything for a Na'vi she'd met less than a month ago. The way I had been so desperate to find a single bit of.. something. I hated it.

I let out a hard breath. This cursed feeling, that was now becoming annoyingly familiar. I knew what it was, I couldn't play ignorant forever. I just didn't understand it.

I reached the Marui, surprised to see my mother seated as if expectantly.. I eyed her cautiously. My mother simply nodded, gesturing for me to sit down.

My brows creased as I did as she wanted. Wondering what it was going to be about today. I hadn't done anything too crazy. Besides looting some warriors of their weapons and ideal items, running from them which lead to a major ruckus within the villages, and—

"This isn't a lecture, you're in no trouble." My mother announced in an attempt to calm me. That only made me feel more on edge. "I just.." My mother began, a wary smile on her face. "I wanted to ask how you were doing?"

"..I'm alright."

"That's good, how are the teaching lessons with the Sully children going?"

"They're good." I answered, the rant and complaints stayed kept within my mouth. I knew it'd be best to just get this over with. "Is that it?"

"How's your sister?" My mother gave a weird smile, I looked toward the other end of our Marui to see Tsireya fast asleep. "Well.. how's Rotxo?" She tried again, Rotxo resided in the Marui just next to us.

"Uh, good?" I guessed, beginning to feel a little uncomfortable at the odd behavior.

She then let out a deep sigh, "How's Ta'liyah?" Her eyes then gazed heavily unto mine.

"She's.. fine." I managed to answer.

"Yes? How are her teachings? I've heard she's become really close with the little one..?" My mother quips.

I'd wanted to scoff, because, sure. Ta'liyah had grown close to Tuk. But once our lessons would begin, Tuk would always rush to my side, claiming me as her set partner. Which caused Ta'liyah to partner with..

"If 'the little one' is the oldest, then sure. You could say that." I drew out sarcastically. "Quite close, indeed." The words left a sour taste in my mouth.
