"Tsireya had weaving lessons." The girl explained, greeting her mother with a peck on the cheek. "Where's Papa?" She asked, turning to look, but was instead greeted with the sight of a young Metkayina boy resting on one of their floor beds.
Ta'liyah immediately recognized the boy as the one who stared too much.
Ao'nung's cousin; Rotxo.
Who was currently.. staring at her in awe. "Hi." He rasped.
"What happened?" The girl asked as she went to kneel besides him, observing a medium deep gash over the boys chest that was covered in medicating plants.
"He'd traveled pass the reef," Her mother sighed, although she wasn't scolding in any way just slightly amused. "He came face to face with an Akula."
At her mother's statement Ta'liyah's eyes widened, "An Akula?" She spoke in awe, throughout the numerous times she'd spent outside the reef she'd never once set sight upon one.
"Ta'liyah," Her mother began, "Since you're here so early darling, do you mind keeping an eye on the young man?" She requested, "I have to go out for more healing herbs."
"Of course!" The girl beamed, gently moving to caress her hands through the boys unkept hair, "I'm the best babysitter, you needn't worry." She cooed, toyingly.
The boy blushed under the pretty girls touch.
"I can see that, thank you dear.. Also Rotxo, if you start feeling anything please let my daughter know, she should know what to do after listening to hours of my medicating process rambles."
"Sure." He confirmed, still slightly flustered.
"Thank you both, kindly. I'll be back shortly!" Her mother called out, leaving.

Ta'liyah waited a few moments before turning her attention to the boy. Cocking her head to the side, interested. "Hi." She smiled, warmly.
Rotxo had no idea why his heart was beating so fast. Actually, he did. But, it was still strange.
"I'm Ta'liyah," She introduced herself, her voice warm and sweet.
"I'm Rotxo," He managed.
"I know." She beamed, biting her lip remembering exactly how and why she knew him. "So.. an Akula, huh?" She adverted her thoughts.
"Yup!" The boy grinned, immediately regretting it once the gash split a little more open at his sudden movement.
"Oh, no." She whispered, replacing the plants that had fallen out of place. "Not even one minute and you're already hurt." She frowned, wiping at her forehead as an act. "I'm the worst babysitter ever."
Rotxo did his best not to laugh at the girls act, not wanting the plants she'd just replaced to get out of place. "No, don't worry. I'm good." He reassured.
She gave him another warm smile, "What was it like?" She questioned.
"Huh?" Rotxo confused.
"Pass the reef," She explained, "What was it like?" Her ears perked up, wanting to know more of the boys story.
Rotxo thought about it. The whole Clan knew how frequent the girl and Ao'nung would venture outside the reef. Yet, here she was asking him about it as if she hadn't been out there at all..
The girl seemed to catch on, "I've never once seen an Akula." She mused, looking outside the Marui doors towards the ocean.
"You don't want to, trust me." Rotxo rasped, his eyes stayed observing the pretty girl knelt besides him.
