↳i. Luke's

Devyn Gilmore woke up to the voice of her mother.

'You need to hurry up, your going to be late for school.' Devyn groaned, throwing a pillow at Lorelai.

'Can't I just skip school today.' Devyn asked. Lorelai sighed, pulling her daughter up by her arms.

'No. School. Now.' She said, 'Although I need you to go to Luke's first to get coffee with me.'

Devyn jumped out of bed at that. Going to Luke's was one of her all time favourite things to do. Sipping on a cup of coffee whilst reading a book. Or she would create chaos when working there by messing up orders on 'accident'. Devyn was always on the edge of getting kicked out of the job but Luke liked her to much. Not that he would ever admit that out loud.

Devyn picked out her outfit, blue flared jeans and a tight black long-sleeved shirt, as well as a book to read through out the day.

Rushing out of her room once she changed, she linked arms with Lorelai and they both walked down to Luke's

'Ah, my favourite boss of all time.'

'What do you want?' Luke sighed, chucking a dirty towel over his shoulder and glanced at the mother daughter duo.

Devyn sat down on the bar, in her usual spot, smiling innocently up at Luke. 'Why only the finest coffee in all of stars hollow would be fabulous, thanks Luke.'

Luke mumbled an unintelligible reply as he went to get her coffee.

'He's here by the way.' Luke said to Lorelai. Devyn perked up at this, wondering who said 'he' could be.

'Where is he?'

'Out.'

'Out? You don't know where he is?' Lorelai exclaimed, sipping her coffee, 'He could be doing hell knows what.'

Just before Devyn could ask who they were on about, the bell by the door was heard, signaling that someone had entered the diner.

'Ah speak of the devil. Lorelai, Devyn, that is my nephew Jess. Jess this is Lorelai and Devyn Gilmore'

Lorelai turned around, 'Hey.'

'Hey.' Jess replied, his eyes trailed over to Devyn who had just turned around. He stopped in his tracks for a second, keeping his eyes on her, before continuing his walk.

'Hello Jess.' Devyn said, waving enthusiastically.

'Hey.' He mumbled, turning away from her quickly.

Devyn quickly stood up grabbing her book, bag and coffee. 'Now, if you lot will excuse me, I have to go to school. Bye mom.' Devyn quickly kissed Lorelai's cheek. 'Bye bye Luke.'

Devyn walked off, bumping into Jess' shoulder, on accident.

'Watch where you're going.' He muttered, grabbing her arm so she wouldn't fall. 'Don't want you falling over and ruining that pretty face of yours.'

'Shut up.' She said, removing her arm from the boys grip. Devyn ignored how her stomach filled with butterflies at what he had said and desperately tried to stop the smile appearing on her face.

Sighing to herself, she strolled down the street walking into her school. Trying her best to stop thinking about the boy she just met.

So first chapter complete.
Sorry its a bit short, I will be making longer ones in the future.
I'm also going to be changing the plot slightly.
That meaning that somethings that
happen will be at different times
yknow yknow.
Jess and Devyn have met.
Let's see if they can become friend's in the upcoming future.
