29: Wedding part 2

'Mom!' Devyn called out.

'Yes, Dev?' Lorelai replied.

'Were is my dress?' Devyn asked. 'I can't find it.'

Lorelai walked into her daughters room with a yellow dress in hand. 'Right here, hun.'

Devyn smiled and toke the dress out of Lorelai's hands. 'Thanks.'

Lorelai smiled and walked out of Devyn's room to get herself ready.

Devyn slipped on the dress, it was a yellow, floor length, flower dress. Devyn admired it as she looked in her mirror.

After a moment, she had finished her hair and makeup.

She walked out of her room to meet her mother who was standing in the hallway between the kitchen and living room.

'Hey mom.' Devyn announced. Lorelai turned around.

'Wow, you look amazing.'

'Thanks.' Devyn said, 'You look nice too.'

The duo left the Gilmore house, grins all over there faces.

Devyn and Lorelai had made their way over to Luke's.

Lorelai spotted Luke and she walked faster leaving Devyn trailing behind her.

When she caught up she said that she was going inside to get a quick cup of coffee.

Devyn opened the door and walked inside.

After a minute the coffee was made and was in her cup. She was about to go outside to meet her mom again but she heard someone else. Devyn looked up to see Jess on the other side of the room.

He stared at her.

'Hey.' Devyn said, breaking him out if his trance.

'Hi.' He replied as he walked over. 'You look beautiful.'

Devyn blushed, 'Don't look to bad yourself.'

Jess grinned and leaned down to kiss her.

They leaned away when they heard the door open and Lorelai speak, 'Devyn. We're going to get seats. Coming?'

Devyn nodded and turned back to Jess. 'See you later.' She kissed his cheek and walked out to meet her mom.

Devyn was sat in the front, a seat next to her, hoping Jess would sit there. Luke and Lorelai where on the seats behind.

Music started playing and every stood up and turned. Jess was walking Liz down the aisle.

Devyn eyes met Jess's and she gave him a quick smile.

When the walk was done, Liz kissed Jess in the cheek and walked away. Jess walked and sat down in the chair next to Devyn.

'Hey.' She whispered.

'Hi.' He said back and slipped his hand in Devyn's.

She heard her mom say something about the minister and at that moment a song began. He walked up to the gazebo singing the song. Devyn couldn't help but grin.

The song had finished and Devyn was trying her absolute hardest to not laugh.

Devyn squeezed Jess's hand and the wedding began.
