Ivy's POV:

A WEEK LATER

A week Elise has been taken. A week of searching, scouring, a bit of raging in trying to find her. Sage is retracing the routes those men took her.

Isaac following her family's moves and Roman. He's been working himself way harder than he should. I was hearing glass breaking and crashes down the hall from my room.

I stood quickly and followed the noises. They were coming from Roman's office. Hence the raging.

I push open the door to see broken glasses scattered in front of me. Roman standing on the side of his desk. His back turned and his hands reaching up for his face.

"Maybe a rage room would be nice", I say. He blows and irritated sigh and turned around to me. "Do not joke", he replied.

"But seriously calm down, we'll find her", I reassured him. I stayed in place because I was only wearing socks and if I were to move I'd be cut.

I look around see his bookshelf completely messed up. Some books on the floor, some ripped and the pages along side it.

"This is my fault", he mumbles. "What would you have done Roman? No one saw this coming. It is not your fault", I said.

He waved his hand at me like what I said was nothing. I heard Isaac shouting my name from downstairs, he must be back.

I followed his voice and he was standing in the living room. "Have you found something?" Roman asked immediately. I didn't even know he was behind me.

"Well, I'm not sure, it's not exactly something but it's also not nothing", Isaac is very vague. Roman blows a huff and rub a his eyes.

"Don't bullshit, just tell me what you know", he demanded.

Isaac straightened and began to speak. "I went to her house, I watched and thankfully no one was home so I was able to get in and bug the place, once I did that I waited. It was a while so I even got a chance to eat that amazing new Subway sandwich", he explained and started to smile.

Roman didn't. He looked like he was ready to jump over the couch and strangle Isaac. "The perfect bread with lettuce, ham, melted cheese and-

Isaac stopped, I think it mainly had to do with Roman's death glare.

Isaac cleared his throat and got back on track. "After all that a white Honda Civic pulled into the driveway and her mother got out, she looked as though she was in a hurry, or stressed. I placed a bug in almost every room and in the kitchen she got on the phone with Gabriel", he stopped and dropped to the floor where his bag was.

Gabriel is Elise's father. We know he's an abusive psychopath but Elise's mother? He pulled out his laptop and sat it on the coffee table.

"I recorded the call so I wouldn't have to repeat it", he says and starts typing. We waited a few minutes before Isaac stepped back and let it play.

The line rang and rang until Gabriel answered.

"What!" He barked. Her mother's voice sounded like it was going to shatter. "I have what you asked for", she said.

"Good, I'll be there to pick it up soon", he responded but no one hung up. "What are you going to do to her?" Her? Was she referring to Elise?

Gabriel didn't answer but there was chatter in the back and the sound of a trunk. "What she deserves", said Gabriel.

Mother sighed and her voice got steady. "She's our daughter Gabriel, not one of your victims! I will call the cops if you hurt her again", she snapped.
