C H A P T E R O N E

Third Persons POV

Rosalia woke up with a groan as she felt all her tense muscles loosen

She felt an arm around her waist and looked to her left to see who the culprit was and it was none other than the sheriff

She smirked as she saw his hold on her naked body and she recalled all that happened the night before and blushed lightly

She pulled his hands off her waist and walked to the balcony of the room she was in which she realized was his room, no matter how many times she has been here it takes her a while to realize the place

Rosalia stood as naked as she was born on the balcony with a cigarette in her hands as she slowly took a drag of the what she calls a stress reliever

Humanity as they know was on the brink of extinction, human dead bodies were found all over the city and there was nothing Rosalia could do about it, the only way to get involved was to be a man as they believed the have more power

She rolled her eyes at the thought, this attacks have been going on for 4 years and she has been solving cases for 4 years before it, she knew if they let her she could put a stop to all this but no one ever gave her a chance as they believed she was to beautiful to have brains

"Rosalia" the sheriff grunted as he stood up and walked to his closet wearing some shorts and tank top

Rosalia turned around as she heard her name and looked at him with curious eyes

He walked to her and pulled her naked chest to his groaning at the feeling and she lightly giggled rolling her eyes

"Baby why are you up so early" he asked while he bent his head towards her ear nibbling on her earlobe

"Nothing I'm just a bit tired " she said smiling and he returned the smile with the clear love he has for her shining in his eyes

"You know I love you" he said kissing her forehead lightly

She smiled sadly at him

"Gussy please" she said with unshed tears in her eyes

"Shh, it's okay i know you can't say it back but I just want you to know " he said looking down at her while holding her chin softly so she can look him in the eyes

A tear rolled down her cheek at the obvious love shining in his eyes for her

Augustus knew what he was doing wasn't fair to her but he couldn't help it, she was to beautiful, sweet, brave and smart that he couldn't help himself from falling in love with her

She always knew how to help him in whatever situation he was in and he will always appreciate her for that

"Come on get dressed we have to go to work" he said as he pulled from the hug and held her arms as he pulled her to the bathroom and removed his shorts while they got in the shower

"Gussy you know what'll happen if we both get In there" she whispered and rubbed her thighs together for some friction as she saw him bite his lip as he turned on the shower and smashed his lips on hers

The sounds of her moans filled the apartment as Gussy as she called him drilled into her repeatedly

They both arrived at work and were greeted by the junior staffs

Rosalia smiled kindly at them as she Augustus made their way to his office

All the girls in the office eyed her with a look of jealousy and knowledge

The all wished it was them that was with Augustus as he was the best bachelor in town, they all wanted him even if it was for a night but they knew they could never get him and it hurt them immensely as they saw the love he has for Detective Jones shining in his eyes

The beautiful British lady who felt like she owned it all

They hated her and her kindness, her confidence and her pride

But there was nothing they could do

"Gussy I have to go meet Detective Book " she said as she watched him get settled in his seat

"Why?" He asked a little sad she might leave him

"I want to see if I can get in on the case Gussy, I know if they give me a chance I'll be able to find out who the guilty ones are " She said with determination shining in her eyes

"Rosalia you know they won't let you, they need strong men in the case as it's very dangerous " he said looking at her sadly

"What do you mean by they need strong men I can help, I know I can but no one wants to give me a chance " she said as anger slowly boiled up I'm her

"I don't mean it that way I just feel
Like you should leave the job to the men as they are strong enough to fight whoever is attacking " he said hoping she'll understand she scoffed at the statement

In her 26 years of living she knew that the line of work she wanted to go for will always pudge her down because of her gender, but that never reduced the zeal she had to pursue her career

She looked at Gussy and walked away strutting out of the room with her heels making a clicking sound, she will get on that case
