"My son is not pregnant by a peasant. It's a joke. It's a nightmare. It's a lie. You are lying! Right?" Prince's father asks me.

"I- I am not lying, your highness," I reply timidly.

"Oh my god!" Prince's mother gasps dramatically and falls onto her chair. "Our son's giving us a grandchild? I am so excited. Let me go see Win myself." she stands up and literally runs out of the hall to see Win.

These two are so dramatic...

"You are done." the King glares at me. "How could you impregnate my son!? How dare you?" he asks me.

He makes no sense. I love his son, and one thing led to another and-

He sighs and sits on his throne.

Then, "You won." he says.

"Huh?"

"You won. You've got my son."

"Your Highness. There was never a competition between you and me. I know I did wrong to the royal family and to the entire kingdom. I am wrong, but I dearly love your son. So please don't think I am your opponent. Because your highness is someone I respect." I speak up.

"You... you have some guts. I like that," he says, making me smile.

He and Prince have things in common. They do want to compliment someone but hold themselves back. I saw that in Prince when we first met.

"I have a request, your highness."

"Go on."

"Could your highness release all the stress on me and not let Win know you are unhappy about this news?" I request.

"I am... I am not unhappy."

"Huh?"

"I am happy. But still- you are NOT my son-in-law. You are just a random man."

Saying that, he stands up and walks past me to see my Prince.

As he's gone, I can't help but chuckle to myself. Like father, like son. They are both dramatic and stubborn.

But I am glad everything went well.

~.~

The pregnancy period was strange.

Prince became a whole other person. He would scold me for the tiniest thing, get aggressive and even eat a whole buffet. It was hard to deal with him. Sometimes he would kick me out of his room, or ask me to leave, even for the smallest thing.

But I cope with him because I know how hard it is for him. Especially with a child in his stomach. Somehow, I managed to stay by his side and do my duty as a soldier as well. I got permission to stay at Prince's chambers during nighttime for safety, and that freedom was the best. I could take well care of him all the time.

After two months of time was Prince's coronation. He got crowned as the crowned Prince while pregnant. His little lump wasn't visible by then. Even if it was, it was cute.

Then three months into his pregnancy, Prince said that he wanted to tell the news to my parents, his parents-in-law. Upon his request, the King and Queen invited my parents to the palace.

My parents were much surprised. My father even twisted my ear for being 'an irresponsible brat' again. But I wasn't being irresponsible!

However, both parties had dinner together, which was super awkward. But I was happy because I couldn't even believe the King and the Queen sat at the same table as my parents. Even they looked a bit feared of everything that was happening.

Still, during dinner time, non of the parties brought up the topic of the irresponsible act I did. I claimed Prince as mine almost a year ago, which was the sole reason for all these clashes. I was glad I didn't get blamed in front of everyone again.

Though I was still unforgiven of my crazy act, we moved on with time.

~.~

The day of pregnancy was a fight between life and death. Prince's parents had called the best doctors from other kingdoms to do the delivery as Prince was weak by the due date. I was so scared to see him pale and weak for the first time. I even thought of not going through this again.

The time inside the delivery room was painful. I could hear his screams and struggles, yet, I wasn't given permission to be by his side. I was biting the tip of my fingernails while waiting for good news.

It turned out my Prince had gone unconscious due to fatigue. It took him three days to wake up.

Yet... he had given birth to a beautiful son.

We named him Tine, which comes with the meaning Strength and Health.
