Long chapter ahead
"It's been a while since I stepped out of the palace." Prince Metawin exclaims as soon as our feet touch the outside ground of the palace.
"I could say the same. It's been a while." I reply. He looks at me and smiles.
"Any idea where we can grab a horse?" he asks.
"We can borrow one from a stable."
"Oah, okay. Then lead the way."
So I lead the way. Though I am unfamiliar with the surroundings, since it isn't my village, I know just where to find what I want. Because I've been to many districts, I have an idea. After walking around half a mile, we find a stable. I ask Prince to stay outside and go inside with a few bronze coins.
I talk with the owner and ask for two horses. He immediately asks his worker to release two after I make the payment. I meet Prince outside with the two horses after a few minutes.
"That was soon," he comments.
"I know magic." I make a proud comment about myself.
"Of course you do." he chooses a horse and pats its back. Then hoist himself from one side and gets on the horse clumsily.
"Sorry. I just remembered that your highness usually gets a hand to get on." I say.
"It's fine. It's thrilling to get on alone."
I get on my horse easily and balance myself on its back. Prince asks me to lead the way to Trost district, by my calculation, will take half an hour of riding on the horses. So we take off, with me riding ahead of Prince, leading the way.
We don't go fast or slow, but able to talk with each other while on horseback, but not long conversations either. He talks about how Trost is famous for its fresh apples, and I talk about how mine is famous for wood and bakery items. It seems that his worries about the previous meeting fade away with time.
Our little conversations absentmindedly lead us to the district entrance, where it says, 'welcome, to Trost!' in bold letters on a wavering piece of wood that will come off any minute.
