But it happened every single night for one week. Maid Prim had to form up different lies and go check on that damn person who made me worry over him. She came every night with news like, "he's asleep as usual, your highness.", "he's having a meal, your highness.", "he's dozing off in the cell, your highness."
And I can sleep peacefully after knowing that he's doing good. But... one little problem. No. One big problem.
WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING!?
"I think you shouldn't go today." I finally say to maid Prim who gives me a concerned look. She has come to my room to know if I want to know about Bright. But... this is completely nuts! I should stop this before it gets out of hand!
She smiles; "Your highness. I know you are hesitant about everything you do now—especially things regarding... that commoner. Your... former relationship ended badly. And I know how Prince Plowden treated you at the end because I heard your argument. He hasn't loved you, and that's why you shouldn't fear to give this commoner a chance." she says.
Her words are absurd, but I know she cares for me.
"Prim, you don't understand. I am a Prince, and he's... he's just a commoner. We have rules that you are aware of. A royal can only get married to another royal or a noble person. And... I can't do this. I don't want our reputation to get a dent in it. Only the ones in the palace know what actually happened and not the citizens. If they get to know, it'll be chaos." I say.
"I do understand that. But.." she takes a deep breath. "You are literally concerned about him, and I've never seen you being concerned about anyone else like this but him. And Prince, you know the rules can be changed by the consultation of elders anytime."
I think I have to fire Prim and get rid of Joss. Aah! It's because of them I am dead worried like this! Because of them, I am a wrecked mess like this... No. It's all because of that idiot!! Bright! He's a wizard! He had done something to me the last time I met him!!
That's why I am concerned about him! Which isn't right!
Yeah. I don't want this! I want to go back in time and live my non-complicated life! But no! Now this Bright is all over my head! I am even wearing this stupid pheromone stopper! Doesn't it have an effect on stopping us from falling for each other?

My carriage comes to a stop outside the palace of Neopatra. I take a deep breath and know I am confident about this. I am going to confront the idiot, Plowden and maybe murder him! I don't care what will happen to me, but I am determined to punch him at least a few times.
"May I have your pass or invitation?" the guard by the gate asks.
"I don't need either. Just inform the idi- uhm... Prince Plowden that I am here." I say.
"But his highness doesn't accept visitors without prior notice-"
"He called me because his cat died!! Now let me in!" I yell.
"I have a cat? Since when?" Plowden's voice asks from inside. He appears in my vision, and I know my fist is ready to make a hole in his face.
"Your highness." the guard bows and pays respect.
Yeah, highness of garbage.
"I want to talk to you! Open this and let me in." I say, poking the gate which lays between us. He stifles a smile and asks the guard to open the gate. As it opens, I quickly get inside.
"You! And I! Gotta talk! About serious matters!!" I say in a threatening voice. Us being the same height comes in handy to develop the glares.
"Sure. Why don't you follow me?"
Ugh. We walk past the front garden and to somewhere I don't know. It's my first time in this kingdom, and I will be lying if I say I am not impressed by the interior of the palace. Plowden takes me into a room, and I see that it is a usual guest room.
He asks me to take a seat, and I do. He sits across me and crosses his arms on his chest.
"So?" he asks.
"I want a valid reason why you did that! If not, you will be fucking exposed to everyone! I will rip off your throat and kill you with my own hands!" I threaten.
"I didn't know a duke could do that. You see. I am not in debt to answer you, am I? You can return to your kingdom." he calmly points at the door. My veins tighten in anger. How could he dodge my questions!?
So I leap in a grab his collar.
"I have all the right to question you! After breaking my best friend's heart, do you think I will let you live freely like this!?" I yell.
Plowden slaps my hands away and stands up. But soon after, I punch him across the face. He hisses in pain and punches me in return.
"So this is how you want it!" I exclaim, trying to return the punch. But he immediately holds my hand and pulls me toward him.
"Why do you think I did that?" he asks as I try to escape from his grip. This man is stronger than me. What the actual duck! I want to get away from his grasp and hit him! Ugh, all my revenge plans are going in vain!
Plowden holds me in place till I calm down. But it makes me madder at him.
"Let me go, you idiot!" I yell.
"Why do you think I did it?" he repeats.
"How the hell should I know? That's why I am asking you, idiot!! Why did you do that?!" I scoff. "Hah. Come to think of it. You did that to prove you are an asshat! What else!"
Plowden releases my hands with a small smile. What is wrong with this idiot playing the role of a calm angel!?
"I told you before too. I am not in debt, to tell you. And even if I do, you won't trust me, will you?" he asks.
"That's my business, whether I trust you or not!"
"If I say, I did that for Win. Will you believe me?"

On my way back to Euthoria, I am silent. I don't curse him in my mind because I am totally shocked. I am not sure what I should do. Should I stay silent? Should I tell Win about this?
But the fact Plowden stayed silent all this time only meant one thing. He didn't want Win to know. But I think Win better know about this. Yeah. I should tell him as soon as I am at the palace. So at least he will stop hating Plowden.
