Love Me?

Chapter Seven

Elli pulled back slowly as she panted and Loki's lips ghosted against hers. As Loki gazed into Elli's eyes, his hands travelled from her cheeks down her arms and to her hands and then up again. He took his time caressing her skin finally being able to touch her. Elli swallowed and looked up at Loki with a small smile.

"They want to take you away from me." Loki whispered.

"Who does?" Elli asked.

"My father, my brother...their war! I can't have them take me from you." Loki replied as he rested his forehead over hers.

"No one will take me from you." Elli said softly.

"They always find a way, Elli. I love you too much to have you torn from me." Loki told her.

"And I love you too much to have anyone do that you." Elli said.

Loki quickly kissed Elli once more and she giggled through the kiss.

"You have no idea how happy I am right now." Loki told her.

"I think I have some idea." Elli chuckled.

Frigga and Thor looked down at the two and then at one another.

"I knew they'd end up together." Frigga said.

"She looks so happy." Thor commented.

"Is that bad?" Frigga asked.

"No, none at all. I just would never have assumed her to fall for a Jotun. But, I can tell she really loves him." Thor replied.

"What do you have against them?" Frigga asked.

"The Jotuns are vengeful. What father told me about what they did to Asgard has stuck with me forever." Thor told her.

"Not all the Jotuns are like Laufey, Thor. I mean, you've talked with him and seen how he is with Elli, right?" Frigga asked.

"I have and I'd say he is the best for her. No one appreciates Elli like he does. Not even us." Thor commented.

"Maybe I can persuade your father to change the arrangement of her betrothal to Helblindi and make it to Loki. Either way, she's still marrying a Jotun." Frigga explained.

Frigga smiled at Thor and then looked back at the two. They were sitting on the bench and Loki's arm around Elli's shoulders as her head rested on his shoulder. Elli kissed Loki's cheek and Thor smiled brightly when he heard the two giggling.

"He's a good man, mother. Elli deserves him." Thor said.

Frigga patted Thor's back and the two walked back into the palace.

"What will happen when they come back?" Elli asked.
