Genelia
"Ram, don't," I push him off, pulling his head softly off my neck making him look at me with a pout. He pushes my loose bangs behind my ear and presses a kiss to my cheek as I tilt my head to the side out of my own shyness.
"Entha bagunavo, ippude pelli chesukovali ninnu," He whispers to me, making me shake my head as I hug his arm. He pushes me back against the wall softly so we are slightly more enclosed between the two pillars beside the bathroom in my room. [Translation of Entha bagunavo, ippude pelli chesukovali ninnu: You look so pretty/good, I should marry you right now.]
"Hello? Romancing ippudu avasaram, spare us from those sickening words." I cover my mouth when I hear a voice come through my ears from in front of us. I push Ram off of me and I laugh as he groans turning around to glare at the 6 adults standing in my room. The girls are in a huddle laughing at us with the 3 guys standing with their arms crossed, as they are leaning against the door in annoyance. [Translation of Romancing ippudu avasaram: Is that romancing necessary right now.]
"Why can't you guys leave us alone," Ram complains as he runs his hand through his hair, stepping away from me.
I adjust my shirt as I pull all of my hair to my right shoulder before I run my fingers through my straight bangs.
I walk out of my room behind Ram, blushing as Anushka pokes her fingers into my arms teasingly. We all settle ourselves on the couches in the living room and Nitya grabs the remote to turn the tv on. A smile grows on my lips as I settle against Ram on the cream colored, loveseat sofa. When I lean my head on his chest, he kisses the top of my head as our legs are entwined with each other. I ignore the oohs and aahs coming from our friends as I let his arms encase my exhausted body in the safety of his hold.
"I had the best birthday Ram," I tell him as our eyes move away from the lit up screen in front of us and our ears block out the voices of our arguing friends to only focus on each other.
"I promise to continue to do everything and anything to give you the best birthdays for the rest of your life," He exclaims as he turns to look at me, our faces close enough so our breaths merge together in a celebration of love.
"Entha mata!" I raise my eyebrows, smirking at his loud exclamations of his feelings towards me. He rolls his eyes as he hugs his arms tighter around my body, pressing me against his warmth. [Translation of Entha mata: Wow, What a statement ]
"Is this ok?" Nitya points at the screen with the remote, making 7 pairs of eyes turn to the screen.
"Yeah," We all add in our words of agreement to watch the movie Dubai Seenu.
My eyes glance upward for a second when Samantha gets up to switch off the lights before sitting back down beside Nitya and pulling the light pink blanket up over her legs.
Prabhas
I lift my phone up towards my face for a few seconds to allow my eyes to glance at the words that flash up on my screen. I shift my attention away from the movie and sit up slightly so I can reply to the messages coming in on my group chat with the people I work with.
"Can't figure anything out," I mumble out of irritation as I shut the phone off after telling the people in the group to just wait till tomorrow that I'll handle the issue. I have a new team working under me for this project and they have been so difficult to work with. Every person thinks they need to consult with me for every little action they make, whether it's putting their pen down or shutting their laptop down. Even though I am their boss, the person they have to report to, they need to have a little bit of independence when it comes to their work. The ironic thing is, when I do give them instructions to do a specific task, even very precise, hand-held instructions, they can't do their job properly.
