chapter twenty-five

(Carson's POV)

I drive down the long drive way and I look in the rear view mirror to see zayn running his hands through his hair screaming and kicking up rocks. I let the tears flow down my face and text louis.

Me: Louis,meet me at the park by the pub.

I hit send and continue driving down the road I think about what happened,how could something so good turn to something so bad. I had given him literally all of me,and he thought I cheated.

I hear my phone buzz Louis: okay love,I'll be there ASAP. I look back up through the windshield and I see the park coming into view and I pull up by the outside gates. I get out of the car and pull my coat tighter to me and walk to a bench. I sit down at the bench and five minuets later I hear footsteps.

I look up and wipe my face and I see louis he is smiling until he sees that I was crying and runs over to me, he sits down next to me and pulls me into his side. "Carson?!? Why are you crying?" I sniff and say "z-zayn,he thought I was cheating on him w-with you." He looks at me confused and says "wait how did this happen?"

I sit up and wipe my face "well,he went upstairs to put a shirt on and I asked him to bring me my phone,he told me 'ok' and he brought my phone down and slammed it on the counter in front of me and I asked him why,but he just shrugged and then I saw your text and I got up to come see you-"

Louis holds his hand up and says "wait,was the text already there?" I nod my head and he sighs "carson he probably thought that because of what I said." I look at him confused "but you said nothing wrong all you said was to come down and see you because we had fun last- oh my god!" He nods his head and I stand up.

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to start drama between you two." I shake my head "no it's not you,its probably the fact that I forgot to tell him I met you and then he saw the text and just assumed." Louis nods and I give him a hug."thank you so much Louis,you're a great friend."

He smiles and nods "it's ok,oh and if it makes it any better I have a girlfriend and I love her very much." I smile "that is great Louis,she is a lucky girl." He shakes his head "no I'm the lucky one, just like zayn is lucky to have you,now go and sort your shit out." I laugh and run back to my car.

I start up my car and haul it all the way back to the castle. Once I get there I park the car all the way in the garage,I get out and hang the keys back up walking to the doors of the castle. I open the doors to the castle and walk to the kitchen. The kitchen is empty. I walk to Zayn's room and the door is closed.

I knock on the door and I hear nothing,so I open the door slowly and his room is also empty,then I remember....the roof. I run down the hall turning all the right corners. I get to the lift and smile pressing the up button. Once it shows up I step inside and hit the very top button.

The doors close and I think of all the things I have to say to zayn. At this time the doors open and I walk out slowly,I see a figure sitting on the edge of the roof head up looking at the sky smoking a cigarette. I walk slowly over to him. Once I get to him I stop.

I lightly let out a breath and say "zayn." He looks around and his eyes land on me as he turns around. His face looks tired and wet from tears and he quickly stands up running to me after dropping and stomping on his cigarette. He wraps me in a hug and I give one back,and he lightly sobs on my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry I-I thought you weren't coming back." I hug him tighter "I'll always come back, I just needed to think some things through and see what happened from your side of things,and I realized that I was wrong." He shakes his head looking up at me "no you weren't,it was all my fault."

I back up a little shaking my head "no it wasn't,I mean I forgot to tell you that I met Louis at a pub I went to that day,he became my friend and so I gave him my number and he gave me his,nothing more....and for that I'm sorry, I should have told you,but I can see where you thought I was being unfaithful to you because of the message."

"What he meant by that was we had fun at the pub talking and getting to know each other that is all." He nods and smiles "okay,and I should've known that you didn't cheat because I was your first time and I shouldn't have yelled,or been a dick so for that I am sorry." I smile and lean in pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.

He doesn't think so and wraps his arms around my waist pressing me closer to his body and holds one hand on my neck while the other remains at my waist.  We stay like this while I wrap my hands around his neck. Eventually we pull away,I mean we need air to live so....

He smiles at me and says "please never leave me and I'll be okay." I smile "I won't, and I'll be okay as long as I'm with you."
