Ava's leaning against a locker next to Elena's and she looks at Elena and she says, "Damon hasn't said a word to me. Every time I try to talk to him, he shuts me down." Elena says, "Do you think, he's still trying to find Katherine?" Ava says, "I don't know. He waited 145 years only to find out that Katherine could not care less. I mean, that's got to hurt, right?" Elena says, "And it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy." Ava chuckles and says, "You have every reason to be upset with him. Have you thought any more about what you're going to do?" Elena says, "About what, Isobel my vampire birth mother who's related to my vampire ancestor Katherine who screwed over your vampire brother? Nah, haven't thought about it at all." Ava says, "I'm sorry, I brought it up." Elena says, "It'd just be nice, if we could get through one day without having to deal with any of it. No vampire mother or brother." Ava teasingly says, "No vampires at all?" Elena smiles and says, "No vampires but you. I just want to get us back to normal stuff like... school, and homework. And there's a thought, fun." Ava smiles and says, "Ooh! That sounds good to me. When do we start?" Elena smiles and says, "How about tonight?" Ava smiles and softly kisses Elena and Ava and Elena both go their separate ways. Later, Ava's at her locker with Elena when Caroline walks up to them and she says, "I'm thinking nothing huge just dinner at the grill, maybe late movie." Ava looks at Caroline and says, "You mean like a double date?" Caroline says, "Two pairs out on a Friday night coupled. Yeah, a double date." Elena says, "Do you think that's a good idea?" Caroline says, "Why not, you know we all haven't gone out together before and I don't want it to be uncomfortable for us. Like, the couple dynamics have changed and there's been a little awkwardness between you, Matt and me and I just think it's important that we get over it." Elena says, "I don't know." Ava says, "You know what? I think that sounds like... a great idea." Elena looks at Ava and says, "You do?" Ava says, "Yeah. Yeah, nice evening out with friends. Sounds fun. As in... fun. Hmm?"
