TBATE - To fulfill a promise

Proper announcement and inspiration sources

Heya,

So you might have seen my first announcement and thought "What the actual fuck". I also had that when I wrote it. I wasn't exactly in the right state of mind and I also found a version of that which was more stupider and longer than what I posted yesterday. Heck, I didn't even know I wrote that if I hadn't checked wattpad notifications.

Anyway, why a second announcement? The first, I just said some weird stuff and just left it at that.  The second is just that I didn't got the point I wanted to make and the other stuff I wanted to say was never said. And the third is that I wanted to write my sources of inspiration.

First of all, thank you for reading it till where I am, I never really thought about considering this story for to be read.  But then I published because, why not? I can just use the feedback to experiment and grow out of it. I wanted to write something else for a different story but never had much thought behind it. It was more supposed to be a playground for me to be experimental and to improve and latter, I just decided to give up and do my best. I don't think that is what ruined writing for me though, I just can't do it anymore, my original reason to writing is that is because I wanted to vent, and I did, but now, I am in a much better mental state. I'm genuinely happy with the life I am living now and I have no reason to vent anymore.

Anyway, the sources of inspiration.

The main sources of inspiration is from two light novels, and a show. The two novels are 'Reign of the seven spellblades' and 'Otherside picnic'. The show is 'cyberpunk edgerunner" I really hope someone would give those two novels or show a try.

My inspiration from cyberpunk edgerunner was rather simple and I had just took one time from David Martinez character (the mc of the show) and applied it to Arthur.

However, the two light novels where a bit different.

I don't recall actually having put anything from Reign of the seven spellblade in it, but I think that reading that while writing my earlier chapter influenced me a lot and I get the same vibe between it.

For Otherside Picnic or UraPi (It would be easier to call it that) was a more accidental (?) influence. When just sitting at the blank google doc page, I wanted to write a relictomb zone but I didn't want a like "Fight hard, go to next zone" kind of formula in it. It would just be a dungeon and making a really complex puzzle is rather impossible for my limited brain. So I kinda put a 5 second idea and worked it out and then after writing the chapter, I kinda realized, oh, it's the same as concept as the main location of UraPi. UraPi involves two girls going in and out to a world called the otherside that consists of japanese true ghost stories that try to terrorize the two girls. I also had more plans on that weird zone comparable to the otherside but yeah, would be pointless to say now that it is dropped.

Anyway, a editor note from my beta reader I TOTALLY DID NOT NEGLECT.

Oh gosh, how drunk was I to have the most weirdest beta reader to have. Like two of the three once wrote a smut about me. I need to hold back on alcohol. One of them is a Tess hater and doesn't even read the fanfic. But well, I really loved talking to them while writing so I guess they were good to entertain me. (except vN-bTw, he actually did work and helped me a lot).

Also, I made a discord server. It was actually meant for just a 5 people group but then people started to join and it has like 20 dudes on it.
