Operation Strix.

Goal: Create a family. Keep peace between Westalis and Ostania.

Loid adjusted his hat so it covered his eyes, his gaze low and serious. This was his mission, and his only goal in life was to succeed his duties. No strings attached.

So why did he spend so long getting ready to go on this outing? Why is he going on an outing with this fake family in the first place? This wasn't part of the mission.

He shook his head of any sentimental thoughts. Don't be silly, Twilight. It was so things would go smoothly, of course. So no one would suspect him of being a Westalis spy (which he is, obviously, but they don't need to know that.)

"Loid-San, are you almost ready? Anya is getting antsy to leave," his wife Yor said, poking her head out from around the corner to observe him doing one last look-over of his outfit in the mirror.

It's all for the mission.

He didn't care for anyone. He'd been trained not to. The only people in this world he could see himself "caring" about was Franky and Mirage, but even then it felt awkward thinking about it. He wasn't allowed to care.

"Ah yes, I am," he responded with a small
smile, taking her hand in his as Anya ran up to his leg, the excitement apparent on her small face.

Didn't care?

Yeah, right.

But he'd never admit that.

Y/N wore the skirt Becky had bought for her today. It was quickly becoming one of her favorites, much to her discretion. She was a spy, why was she wearing something her target picked out especially for her?

Out of all the spies of W.I.S.E, Y/N liked to think she was the most human. She liked Becky, feelings attached and all. Can Sylvia know that? Oh heavens no, but she can keep it as her own little secret.

Currently, she was waiting at the meeting spot Twilight had texted her to meet them at earlier this morning. She was the first one there, which was planned out beforehand by her and Twilight. She needed to look eager, enthusiastic, and responsible (according to him.)

She reached her arms to the back of her head to tighten the white ribbon in her hair, running her fingers threw the strands before letting it fall naturally against her skin. She strengthened her grip on the bag she held in front of her, annoyance coursing through her veins.

She is eager, enthusiastic, and responsible. She's all those things without him telling her to be. She loves his family more than he supposedly does! How can someone be both a workaholic and an idiot? It doesn't make sense!

The sound of footsteps skidding to a hault on the white pavement brought her from her thoughts, her irises abruptly moving up to make contact with her intruder. They were met with red hues, staring at her wide and shocked.

"Y-You?!"

Y/N tilted her head at the slightly older man in front of her, putting on a small smile as she stood up straight to greet him.

"Hi, Yuri-San! It's nice to see you again," she said, bowing down lowly to him.

After reading through his file, she had come to the easy conclusion that she did not like Yuri Briar.

The Secret Police were a joke. A complete and utter joke. She already knew everything about Yuri Briar. She knew he was a lieutenant despite his young age. She knew of his obsessive love towards his sister. She knew of his upbringing, and how Yor was the only one who raised him while he studied hard for her sake. She knew that he was a maniac who self harmed in extraordinary ways. In fact, even right now he had a bruise on his cheek and a bandage on the bridge of his nose. She knew that despite being extroverted, he lived alone and had no friends. Poor Yuri Briar.
