Chapter Thirty-Seven: Tsunade Mission (part 1)

At dawn, after a good night's sleep, they were woken up by the sound of somebody sliding inside their room... Weapons out they immediately jumped out of bed only to find Ombre and Katashi inside their room in full gear...

"Not morning people, I gather," said ombre, smiling...

"You couldn't knock?" our young ANBU captain, the blond one replied groggily

"That wouldn't be fun... Now get your gear... We're moving in 5"
She answered childishly

"Who put you in charge ?" Shikamaru inquired.

"Well no one told me I wasn't the captain of this mission so I just decided I am."

The two ANBU captain and the one Iga ninja looked at each other and decided to just let Ombre live in her fantasy. They had other things to do. Like figure out how to convince Tsunade to come back to the village without knocking her out.

They walked out towards the village gate and noticed that people still didn't like ombre and or Katashi... At least the ones to be brave enought to be awake this early...

"You don't know what to do ombre, do you?"

"I'm perfectly able to figure out how to get Tsunade... You'll just have to see"

And see they did... As they were coming when the mission went perfectly fine and they walked back to konoha with a annoyed Tsunade... They didn't really know how ombre had managed such a feat but she had talked a little with the older nin and suddenly she had been ok with going with them to the village.

As they walked towards konoha they felt that their adventures were only starting and our hero was irritated. Ombre had never stopped teasing the two mercilessly about their "love" for each other, so much so that he really didn't know anymore if he was in love with shikamaru or not...

They finally saw the village gate and smiled. They were back home soon enough and Katashi was impressed by konoha's massive gates. It looked impressive, even for our young ANBU captains who had seen them a billion times.

They slowly walked in and we're greeted by an almost reconstructed konoha but they were also greeted by an angry Kakashi:

"Naruto ??? Where were you, we looked for you everywhere? You disappeared again and Dragon came to tell me you were on a special assignment... You should have told us you were leaving... And you come back with that Iga scum ?"

"Sensei, please refrain from weakening konoha's already catastrophic ties with Iga... I was on a special assignment from ANBU and I couldn't really tell you more. But since dragon told you that I was with them I can tell you that I'm an ANBU captain and you will treat me as such..."

"You? An ANBU captain? Like hell i would believe you ... Anyways some of us actually work, ja ne..."

With those words Kakashi disappeared and left our hero baffled... He was litterly in full ANBU gear. What more could he do for Kakashi to believe him ? He didn't know anymore.

As they walked towards the Hokage tower they were greeted by many. Most were curious and sent glares in Naruto's direction

"Since when is the idiot allowed to wear ANBU clothes ?" They whispered.

"The demon is back" they said...

Our hero was unphased and it's actually Tsunade who seemed sick in the stomach about the whole ordeal.

"You're not gonna tell them anything?"

"I'm an ANBU captain... They can talk all they want, it shouldn't annoy me." Was his only answer and he would stick by it.

They delivered Tsunade to the hokage's office and went to find ibiki to get him to go to Iga.

He surprisingly only resisted a little bit, saying he had loads of paperwork to fill in but four words from Ombre got him to move instantly, wanna know which ?

"Hogo-sama said so"

Boring, I know ... Boring, but effective. In a couple minutes they were on their way back to Iga.

It took them two days to do the trip back to the village...

Two days of excruciating and fast walking with ombre pushing them to their limits in term of how fast they could walk without chakra... Something about how they were already in enough trouble as it was.

When they arrived at the village and were dropped off at their hotel they groaned and let themselves fall asleep instantly.

The next day they were brought in back to the Hogo. Ombre immediately kneeled in front of him and did her best to look not so tired. Our heroes did the same and ibiki got out a black, leather bound book.

"Ibiki-kun, it's been a while, your letters were becoming a bit distant. It's almost like you didn't want to write anymore"

"I'm sorry, sir, with the invasion it was becoming harder and harder to write without Dragon-senpai throwing a fit"

"Excuses, excuses... Show me your Book "

Ibiki immediately gave the Gogo his black book and the Hogo smiled and started reading a random page...

"I see, I see, not very obedient, were you ? Since the last time you came... Nothing a good few days here can't fix... I think the arena as a punishment for all of you would be fit... In public of course. Ombre, Lame, Flamme, Rivière ? Go make preparation at the Arena. Oh and before I forget,  you're also all going to be participating."

Cue in the groans and the silent swearing from the 4 kabarejjis, our two young heroes didn't know what the arena was and they seemed pretty scared of the entire thing, like they should to be fair...
