Chapter Twenty Six : The Academy Duty

Our young hero woke up with a massive hangover and the urge to stab whoever had the wonderful idea to let Ombre pick the next game... They had spent the rest of the night getting drunk while playing a very stupid type of drinking game... Apparently, she couldn't bet because the equivalent of her Kage thought that Kabarejjis like her shouldn't participate in dangerous behavior... She had looked at all of them calmly before saying that getting beat around the training ground until she couldn't move or having to swim in ice-cold water for a few hours was apparently not dangerous behavior.

Before all of them got drunk she had written her bet in a journal and told us that she had to write every rule she hadn't followed in the journal and hope her "Kage" didn't decide to check, if he did he would pick a random page and punish her for whatever was on that page. Fox had gotten a quick look at some of the things written in the thick leather-bound black book. He was surprised to see some entries were because she apparently didn't do her "Homework" or forgot how many times she was supposed to meditate on that particular day... Then she had challenged everyone to out-drink her, which apparently was only a dangerous behavior if she lost. Fox didn't get a chance to escape and got himself locked into one more stupid contest...

That was 5 hours ago, and now he was late, he wasn't as late as Kakashi but he was hungover and extremely tired... He tried to remember what Upsilon had given him and hoped non of those meds didn't mix too badly with alcohol... He looked around and took a cup of tea from Morino before getting ready to ditch training to get to the academy... It was a shitty idea since it would reinforce the difference with his team... But a dare was a dare. He got into full gear and got ready, as he went to get the mission details he met Ombre, she seemed perfectly sober and looked like she was ready to kill her friend. She was sporting her fake skin and looked really cute in borrowed cloth from Inoichi's daughter. She had tied her hair into pigtails and looked a lot younger than how she did just minutes earlier. Our young hero was dressed in black and red and had temporarily dyed his hair black. He would go by the name Memna while Ombre would go in as Hitami, both then made their way to the academy all the while chatting about the geopolitical state of the land of fire and other random topics that had nothing to do with either of their villages.

The class was loud, childish, and definitely their worst nightmare.
The wannabe ninjas were talking loudly and boasting about their abilities...

They stayed semi-hopeful that they could just sleep and watch from perches until Iruka interrupted everyone by screaming and forcing the two young ninjas to seat in the front row where they had no way to escape his lessons. They both faked cried at being placed in direct sight of him.

The classes were boring and the two found themselves talking in code, they chatted some more about random things and then settled on playing truth or dare. Which also was only dangerous behavior if she picked Truth... It quickly became a game of dare or dare since no one wanted to tell truth to the other.

That's how they ended in detention for both saying that the lesson was boring and that they should have stayed home with their taijutsu instructor. Both of them were doing push-ups and pretending to groan from the effort...

When they finally got out they both remembered they still had 4 more days of this and decided Morino was gonna pay for this. It's with this promise our impromptu team left the premise not noticing they had been followed by Kakashi, who was paying a lot of attention to his student.

"So now you're ditching to help an enemy ninja sneak into the academy... Just a few more proofs and you're dead, naruto"
